We had a two night stay at Magnetic Hill. Dale truly is a warm welcoming host with many stories plus a wonderful family history in the area. Breakfast was wonderful - a bowl of fresh fruit, homemade scones with homemade jams and jellies. One morning we had buckwheat pancakes followed the next morning by baked oatmeal. Of course I to... We stayed in the Green Room. It was small but comfortable. It came with a full ensuite. Dale Lutz is an absolutely charming host. He entertained us with stories about his family's history in this area. They have been here since the 1700's. Breakfast was served in a large sunroom. Dale is an excellent cook and if you ask, he'll... More

This B & B was everything you'd expect a country home B & B to be! We arrived at 11 at night in a torrential downpour. Our host was waiting for us and gave us a warm and inviting welcome. Our room was clean. The decor is quaint, vintage 80's. We stayed in the rose room and had our own... More

Received a very warm welcome from Dale. This B&B has many facets of a house in the 1980s but still very comfortable and excellent value for money. Buckwheat pancakes at breakfast were great, as were the muffins and fresh fruit salad.

We only stayed one night, but it was interesting to say the least. Dale was a great conversationalist, and shared many stories with us. Our room was comfortable and very clean, and we enjoyed ourselves very much. The breakfast was very good but it would be nice if Dale were able to serve up a bit more protein, especially with... I stayed here for two nights. Dale reminds you of that strict uncle who is always ensuring that you are kept in line. The place was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was just average. Most suitable for adults but if you have kids under 10 Years you may need to pack cereal for them.

Clean, charming, elegant and old school style.Dale made us feel like we were staying with an old family friend we had known for years even though we had never been there before. The warm hospitality along with the country charm that eludes from the rich history behind this home have made it a must return on our list.

If, as we do, you like to stay in places with character and "olde worlde" charm you will enjoy a night here. The host is a local "character" with so many stories to tell and so much charisma with which to tell them. The accommodations are well furnished if a bit "OTT" in a nice way, comfortable and clean. Breakfast... More

We recently stayed at this B&B in August. We were able to stay in a room that accommodated the 4 of us, which was nice and not always the case at B&Bs. The host was very friendly and enjoyed to tell stories. Breakfast was very delicious each day. We enjoyed scones, fruit, buckwheat pancakes, and baked oatmeal. Be aware that... More
