Got to the hotel after a jets hockey game and my first question was "we are checking in, where do I park my car?" The woman at the reception desk was beyond rude! Her response was "you're checking in now?!", in a very condescending and snotty tone. Thinking it was just me, I left it alone, went and parked the... More

Good Afternoon Jeanelle A, I am sorry to hear about your visit with us, and it not being a positive one. After speaking with both staff members about your incident I believe that there was a miscommunication. The staff member in question, was simply responding to a room that had heat issues and couldn't be rented to you or anyone... More

stay away!!!! it was very scary from the min we stepped in and checked in. Saw the room and checked out! Persons standing outside selling I am not too sure what, but it looked like it wasn't legal. The room out dated, damp and smelly. What a dump

Dear w0rldtraveller1978, I am sincerely sorry that you did not stay with us and that your arrival was not met with appropriate expectations. As we are located in the downtown Winnipeg area we try and limit and control undesirables from loitering outside our hotel, but because it is a public sidewalk it is some time tough to do. As for... We stayed in room 408 while attending a wedding on New years eve. It was a great experience both the wedding and the room. The Skyview Ballroom was quite a surprise and the food and service was excellent, we did not hear a single complaint. As for the room it was very clean and the bed was super comfortable, I... More

This hotel is quite old and has history, one can see the potential for this to be a very nice place with some fairly extensive restoration. The unfortunate thing is that they have chosen over the last few years to house the "displaced" natives, this in turn had led to drunken natives passed out on the furniture in the dirty... More

I loved the old world charm, and how they kept everything the same for historic sake. The people were very accommodating, friendly and professional. The room seemed to be a little out dated but it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is located in the downtown area which is very convenient to get to any part... More

Stayed in this hotel for a night .. Booked it online so didn't know that it was in a shady neighbourhood.. You could see people loitering around .. Facilities in the hotel aren't great either for a price that we paid.. Cramped room , primitive elevator, dirty carpets etc,, The worst part was talking with the receptionist who seemed to... More

Stayed here one night to catch VIA train next day. Walkable to train station and old part of city centre. Rooms are large and dated as you would expect. Breakfast included and table service off the menus . Take time to enjoy the atmosphere and have a relaxing breakfast . This place recently celebrated 100 years of being part of... More

My friend and I drove through Canada from BC to NB. We stopped in Winnipeg for the night and stayed at this hotel. The photos seemed fine, but once we got there we were told there was no parking. We had to park in a public parking lot, which made me nervous through out the night. This, i wish I... More

I needed a place to crash for the night before continuing my trip. The pictures made this place look decent for the price .
