As a client of Marlborough I was always treated well and the staff and management worked hard to meet our many needs. They were always very respectful in their service and delivered everything they promised! Excellent.

I've planned several large events over the past few years in various cities and venues. The personalized and top-notch service provided by the Services Manager Grace Rents made planning and executing our large social event at the Marlborough an absolute delight. Everything from being flexible with dates, menu options, deposit, payment etc... was such a pleasant experience. We knew that... More

We held a formal in the Skyview Ballroom last Sunday. The Marlborough seemed like the perfect choice right off the bat because of the historic feel of the place. The Skyview ballroom has high ceilings, chandeliers, and tall windows that overlook downtown. I especially liked that we had the whole 8th floor to ourselves. No need to worry about strangers... If you have the opportunity to find another hotel you should. I should have read previous reviews. Our room smelt like smoke, there was a domestic dispute next door which which resulted in the door being slammed and screaming, beds where rock solid and it was very old and outdated. We tried to save money in downtown Winnipeg and this... More

Dear 917bradyh, Thanks for the comments. I'm sorry if you found the bed hard - we are looking into the room you stayed in to see if we need to change our one of our pillow top mattresses. If the bed as not comfortable we would have been happy to move your room. I also apologize for the guests beside... More

I had always wanted to stay here because I enjoy "classic hotels". It wasn't so much classic as poorly maintained. The front desk people were friendly, but it would have been helpful if they had mentioned that we needed to get towels for the pool from them, when we asked where the pool was. The pool was absolutely freezing. One... More

Dear prairiewheat, Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. You are correct that our staff should have mentioned that pool towels are at the front desk - something that we have corrected. I'm sorry if our elevators were not working as they should - our service provider is working on the issues and they are currently all... More

Transferred from the St. Regis hotel only after 1 night to the Marlborough. The transition into the Marlborough was pleasant to say the least. The wifi was superb when compared to the St. Regis's. Sure they may have box-TV's from the early 2000, but it was enough for me. Paired with the wifi I was able to enjoy my XBL... More

We stayed here for almost a week over the thanksgiving weekend last year for a wedding. We knew what we were getting into regarding some of the clientele. A full breakfast was included in the price! ! It was close to everything downtown and the Forks.Would stay there again if we visit Winnipeg again.

My sister held her entire wedding at the vintage Marlborough Hotel in downtown Winnipeg on September 13th, 2014. The people who are complaining about this hotel, it is ONE HUNDRED years old, and is a historical building. So, stop with your pettiness. Now, as for the hotel, right after the ceremony, my husband went and checked in while the bridal... More

We held our entire wedding at The Marlborough Hotel on Sept 13, 2014 & we couldn't have been more thrilled with the results. It's a beautiful old downtown Winnipeg hotel. Churchill's & the Skyview Ballroom are fantastic rooms to hold such an event. As part of the bridal package we were given the complimentary bridal suite. It was very comfortable... More

Dear Bob C Thank you for your comments. We have addressed the cord issue - something that should have been done long before your comment.
