Stayed over the long weekend, just me and my son, while visiting family. Bellman, room service and Velvet Glove staff were incredible. Rooms were ok and comfortable, but it was the serice that stood out. Food: room service was better than most hotels at this range, and only had breakfast in the Velvet Glove, but it was great. more

i stayed here for two nights due to a conference my company had in this hotel. We were given a corporate rate of $170/night, and felt that the room was of decent value. I had a suite that was equipped with a king sized bed. The bed was quite comfortable. Because I arrived in downtown Winnipeg at 10pm on a... more

I am a travel agent, and stay at Fairmonts regularly...this one was a big shock! My boyfriend and I are backpacking types when we travel, so you can understand that I am not a fussy gal - but when I stay at a 5 star chain I expect it to deliver. If I had paid full price for this hotel... more

We booked a room for new years ever for after a wedding. the bathroom sinks were cracked, stained and unsightly. The king size bed was missing a support in the middle so we had to put the ice bucket under it to keep the middle of the bed up. The pull out bed in the other room was so uncomfortable... more

We had a two night stay at this hotel prior to our polar bear trip to Churchill. We decided to fly into Toronto from the uk and then straight on to Winnipeg on the same day so that we had a full day and a half to see the city and so we didn't arrive at the hotel until 8... more

this place was a dump. the carpet was dirty, the mattress old, the room lighting poor, the armoire door broken, the sink bowl cracked, the parking lot felt unsafe. the only thing this property had going for it was the customer service. do not stay here, it is not worth the money and it is a Fairmont Hotel in name... more

We were booked to stay at the Hampton Suites. We arrived early and no room was available so we drove to the Fairmont and booked a top of the line room. Paid $369 for the Presidential but boy was it worth it. Drinks, food, breakfast, private board room, business office were all available for those who wanted to use the... more

Eeven before I arrived at the Fairmont I met with some local people who, when I told them where I was staying, remarked, "That's the best hotel in town." During the duration of my stay this was confirmed. The staff were excellent; they knew their jobs, were smartly dressed and customer friendly. Service was excellent. The rooms were large and... more

As we are members of Fairmont Presidents Club we used a suite upgrade. The suite was large but shabby and had no opening windows. We moved the next day to a very bright Fairmont room with opening windows and our suite credit went to our next reservation in Banff. The maid service, room service,valet/porter/concierge ( all one great well informed person),front... more
