This is a hard hotel to rate. I stayed on the Gold floor and the service was without flaw. Absolutely exceptional in organising cars, restaurants, etc. The hotel itself is an older building which has been updated and does look a bit like a 1980's property. That said it is spotless. I guess where it lets itself down are the... more

My fiance' was traveling for work and happened to be staying at this hotel on his birthday so I wanted to surprise him by meeting him there and setting up a private happy hour with his co-workers who were also staying there. I started phone conversations with the front desk attendants and restaurant manager and they couldn't have been more... more

I had signed up for the Fairmont Presidents club several months before so figured we would finally try this Fairmont out. We have Platinum status at the local Delta where the service is great etc., but decided to stay at the Fairmont for one night. We were heading to the Moose game so only booked one night. I booked the... more

We spent 4 days here on the Fairmont Gold floor. The room was smaller than we'd expected for this level, but was lovely and had twice daily service. Fairmont rooms tend to be somewhat small; the Gold level rooms may be slightly smaller than the others. Gold level is their "hotel within a hotel". It has its own floor, with... more

i stayed 2 nights.......minus 24 degrees outdoors. i was there to visit a cemetary and also spent 7 hours a day visiting a friend in the hospital The staff amazed me, especially Deanna Greenaway at the front desk. She listened about my previous stay and her choice of room for me,her seeing me as an individual and her follow through... more

Stayed here for three nights on business at the end of October 2008. I had been expecting the hotel to be older like the Fairmont in Ottawa, where I had stayed before, but I was pleasantly surprised as I prefer newer properties. My room was on one of the President's Club floors, with a dedicated checkin/checkout, so both of these... more

Can't really find too much wrong with the Fairmont Winnipeg - nice location within walking distance of the Exchange District, the Forks, and St. Boniface (across the river). I was here for a conference so got an good rate on the room - $130. The room was fairly standard (see pics). I was surprised at the quality of the carpets... more

I stayed 5 nights at Winnipeg's Fairmont. This property doesn't have the old world charm of other Fairmonts. The good... - updated top floor (21st) open till 11pm: fitness room with a fair amount of newer equipment, good sized indoor pool at just the right temperature, huge steam room - quick check in and check out. Great front desk and... more

Have stayed here twice in the last little while and I wanted to give this hotel 4 stars but can't really justify more than three. Likes - Good sized indoor pool - Fantastic staff - Free internet (for club members as with all Fairmonts) - Good sized rooms Dislikes - Hotel is a little bit worn (eg stains on the... more

This is my second stay at the Fairmont. My company has a negotiated rate and while I can fault little things like the carpeting (a little "Best Western", as another reviewer mentioned), the service makes it stand above and beyond. Anything I need - just ask. I got an umbrella to use when it was raining (and forgot mine), the... more
