Our car window was smashed by thieves in the parking lot in plain view of hotel security cameras. The winnipeg police did nothing and the hotel staff were not interested in forwarding a copy of the camera footage to the police. The hotel restaurant is filthy and has the original early 70's furniture and decor. The pool is very nice... more

We stayed here before a flight, it was our second time at this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised to see they upgraded the room. The room was quite large, as was the bathroom. It was clean. I guess my only complaint would be the bed, it was kind of worn. Other than that, it was great. more

I chose this hotel because they advertised a "Romance package" for Valentine's Day. We got a lovely large room with a king sized bed, huge bathroom, bottle of champagne, fruit/cheese/cracker and chocolate basket and complementary breakfast the next day. I've been staying at "the Viscount" for essentially 30 years(through at least 3 renovations now), and it has always been warm, comfortable, and friendly..as I said, Home away from home .
