Beautiful, historic hotel with comfortable rooms. Excellent service and accommodations. Bar and restaurant service was great. We had two different rooms, both of which were very nice. A wonderful change from modern franchise hotels. Breakfasts were amazing - buffet with a chef to make omelets and specials as requested. One chef was jovial, friendly, and made our morning special.

This is a wonderful historic hotel. Although the rooms needed a bit of TLC, the service was wonderful. Coffee and tea delivered to the room within 5 minutes of calling (no charge) and coffee delivered in the morning, also for no charge. Breakfast was lovely, and location was great. We would certainly stay here again.

This is one of Canada's old railroad hotels, just two blocks from the station. It's in the heart of town and just a short walk to the river walk, the Forks(entertainment district) and the legislature buildings. Great location. It's grand and old, and it shows some wear here and there, but mostly the ambiance is warm and classy. Our room... More

So many reasons to keep coming back, the Fort Garry remains an exceptional hotel and always provides a special, memorable experience. On our most recent stay, our beautifully appointed room included a ridiculously comfortable bed and large-screen TV with mind-boggling HD picture, all wrapped up in bags of old-school charm. Endless complementary room-service tea and coffee only added to the... More

It is understood that this is one of the old railroad train hotels and as such is historic. Excellent location in central Winnipeg-just across the road from 'The Forks'. No fault with the public areas on the Lobby Floor-they are beautiful. This hotel does seem to be THE place to be for weddings and charitable events so be forewarned that... More

This is a lovely old historic hotel. A lot of character. Dining room/bar has good food and drinks. Breakfast served in a lovely setting and is quite adequate. Rooms have some age to them. Extension cords strung from one side to another. Damaged woodwork.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 separate nights at the beginning and tail end of our trip. The lobby and downstairs, as well as the outside, are beautiful, and the location of the hotel is great. However, the elevators are horribly slow, the rooms and upper hallways need lots of work (wallpaper was peeling from the walls, furniture was... More

i stayed here as part of a Natural Habitat Polar Bear trip. Property was a grand old property and located in a nice part of town with access to all Winnipeg has to offer. Wifi was excellent. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Very eco friendly. Property is showing its age as many historical properties... More

This is a grand, old hotel that has been nicely updated. It's in a great location within walking distance to The Forks, several museums, the train station and restaurnats. It serves a nice breakfast buffet with cooked to order eggs, omlets and waffles. Ask lots of questions when you are seated, the waitresses all seem to think you've been there... More

Have stayed here before and paid full price as opposed to a discounted rate through Hotwire. A remarkable difference between the two accommodations. The room itself needed upgrading, was in shabby shape to say the least. It felt like being booked into the Servant's Quarters of the hotel - perhaps a result of booking online via Hotwire. Might be wise... More
