This is historic hotel-now B&B is well located in downtown Winnipeg next to excellent walks and sights.. While it's decor is somewhat tired, it is clean and comfortable and offers prompt and friendly service and wonderful breakfasts!

I'm glad you had a great stay with us, and that you enjoyed our famous chef-to-guest breakfasts. Downtown Winnipeg is beautiful, the next time you visit us be sure to request a "Fort St. View" on a high floor to experience a picturesque sunrise over the Forks Market Historic Site, the Canadian Museum of Human Rights and Esplanade Riel. Thank... More

This is a gracious historic hotel. Decor and furnishings are traditional and conservative. I spent one night here on a business trip, and enjoyed my stay. Parts of it, such as the Banquet Hall, have been well-renovated, parts of it, such as my room, had finishes that were a bit tired. The level of service was good. Recommended.

Absolutely beautiful spa, wonderful Sunday brunch (and a great breakfast on other days), nice walking area. You'll be disappointed if you expect updated rooms - they most likely will be closer to your grandma's style. Definitely worth a stay if you have time to get a spa package/ breakfast package. Have had some issues in the past with mistakes on... More

Thank you for your recent stay with us, and for your honest feedback. Please accept our apologies for the slight setback in your billing, but I'm glad we were able to resolve the issue quickly. We are looking forward to celebrating our 100th anniversary next year and as a historic building part of our charm is that each guestroom is... More

Stayed here for meetings for 4 nights in April and was totally captivated by this old hotel. It was a beautiful change from the countless modern hotels today - definitely an older hotel with door knobs and bathrooms with old tubs, but the drapes and wall paper and linens are charming. Service in the dining room was excellent, the food... More

Had not stayed here for years, but stayed for a concert at the MTS. We had an inward-facing room which was not up to the standard of the room facing Broadway that my wife stayed in recently. It was still adequate, and for $129 including a very full breakfast, was, I thought, a bargain. Hotel is showing it's age, but... More

We travelled here for a weeding and I find older Hotels kinda creepy but interesting at the same time. This Hotel has alot of potential, but the owners need to invest back into the Hotel to keep it profitable and welcoming to guests. Would I stay here again? NO! Staff was great though!

The hotel is old and interesting. First the bad: The wall construction is some type of sculptured sheet rock with a faux coating. Just to figure out how they did it is interesting. It has worn furniture and carpeting, come worn tile, the mechanical system is not up to par, the temperature controls are old pneumatic and it needs an... More

The building is a classic and the lobby gives you hope, but the rooms are horrible. Wallpaper coming off the walls, paint is also chipped and peeling. The tv and furniture are straight out of the 80's. The bathroom was okay until I looked up in the shower and it appeared it was cleaned only as high as the cleaning... More

I stayed here in April 2012 from Minnesota as part of a group traveling for business to Winnipeg. The exterior of the hotel is absolutely breathtaking: it is rare to see this kind of architecture in such excellent condition outside of Europe or New York. The lobby is exceptionally beautiful and a throwback to a time none of us were... More

I am trying to stay in these old hotels that used to be CP Hotels and the Hotel Fort Garry is one of those. It is located just down the street from the main train station and I can just imagine how it would have been 50 years ago. The hotel is still a lovely building and the staff that... More
