Flew into Winnipeg 2 days early, just to relax, walk around & see this wonderful Northern city. I travel alone & had no, absolutely no problems. Then met the Frontiers North People, and next day we flew into Churchill. Churchill should bless the Polar Bear everyday, because without them, no one would ever visit Churchill (unless you're nuts) We stayed... More

What an incredible experience. Real 'once in a life-time stuff'. Brilliant guides, great food, very helpful, very friendly, catered well for vegetarians, and really committed to being as green as possible. I can't recommend this highly enough. A truly amazing trip.

The Winnipeg hotel, the charter flight there/back, the Churchill hotel & then the Tundra Buggy Lodge and the day trips, ALL GREAT! We spent 3 nights out on the Tundra Buggy Lodge and it was all pretty great, more comfortable than we were expecting. All the staff were informative, fun & friendly. We were there the 1st week of November... More

It has always been a dream of mine to visit Churchill and see the Polar Bears in the wild. We stayed out on the Tundra at the buggy lodge and I can honestly say this trip exceeded all my expectations. The lodge is more than comfortable and the crew of Emma, Toby and Ralph looked after us superbly, we were... More

For those people who love five star luxury, butler service and spa's this is not for you. But if you want a totally different experience this is the place to go. It's a long haul from the UK to Churchill and I really didn't know what to expect. There were 17 of us in the group and you are taken... More

Hello and thank you for your review! You are absolutely right that this adventure is not for everyone - it's a rustic and unique experience that takes guests out into the middle of polar bear country - no spas or butlers here! But we do have a great staff at the Lodge - Emma, Toby and Ralph are a great... More

We visited in October 2013 and were not disappointed! Staying out on the Tundra gave us extra time to see the bears because we didn't have to travel back and forth. We saw our first bear under the propane tank at the Lodge! He approached the Tundra Buggy, stood up, put his paws on the buggy and pushed. On the... More

First I want to be clear it's the Tundra Buggy Adventures trip I'm reviewing not the Great White Bear tours (can be a bit confusing in some reviews). These are the only two companies operating tundra buggy tours at Churchill, though you will find Tundrabuggy.com advertised through several websites / travel operators. From what I could tell the prices are... More

Travelled in October 2013 - had a wonderful time. We were the first for this season and there were 18 of us. A good mix of nationalities and we all got on very well. I usually avoid package tours. I choose to drive from Michigan to Thompson, Manitoba. I then took Calm Air flight to Churchill. I stayed at the Tundra Inn in Churchill. The room was small and basic but clean and comfortable. The town itself was interesting and the people were friendly. I spent 2 nights and three days in Churchill which... More

I did the Frontiers North 7 day Specialist (photographic) tour #76 in November. I have been to many remote locations in different parts of the world staying at lodges, in tents and in native villages.
