We traveled with Nathab on their Polar Bear adventure tour the first week of November 2013. Right upon our arrival in Winnipeg’s airport terminal, we were greeted by friendly Nathab staff who drove us straight to our hotel, the Fort Garry. The level of operational integration between Nathab and Fort Garry was very impressive: they were expecting us and we... More

From the getting to know you dinner in Winnipeg on Friday night before Saturday’s departure to Churchill, it was obvious that we were going to experience something we’d never forget. The staff at the Tundra Lodge are very hardworking professionals who are passionate about what they do and do such an amazing job. They work long hours and serve with... More

Guides Rinie and Leah were fantastic, Driver Jason handled the rover like a mimi minor, Johnothon cooked delicios and varied meal everday, abley supported by Beverley in the kitchen and Claude the manager ran a very efficient and happy crew. But most of all the bears put on a show for us whether sparring at the lodge or just walking across... Just completed my stay at the Tundra Lodge and wish I could have stayed longer. It's fairly remote and a great location to "get away from it all" including cell phones, internet and television. As other reviewers have said, the rooms are very small, but I slept well and loved being able to look out at night. It was great... More

I stayed here as part of a Natural Habitat tour and it was great. The rooms are somewhat monastic and can be difficult to maneuver in, but the presence of polar bears and arctic foxes around the Lodge make it all worthwhile. Sharing toilets and showers were never a problem. The Lodge manager was extremely accommodating for my special needs,... More

If you are going to Churchill to see the bears, this is the place to be. The staff is so accommodating. The private sleeping rooms are adequate for the wilderness. Food was very good. Of course the best part are the bears. They come to visit the lodge regularly through out the day.

I have been to Churchill previously so was very excited to stay outside of town this time around. The Lodge is very comfortable, and the rooms have plenty of room for gear (if you don't overpack). The food service was extraordinary and the cooking staff is to be commended. Our guides (Rinie and Brad) and our driver (Jason) were so... More

This was a really incredible experience! I have been on 2 safaris to Africa and didn't think I would get that excited about seeing some polar bears. I was wrong, they are magnificent animals and were extremely curious and interactive and wonderful to photograph. By staying at the tundra lodge you have the opportunity to view the bears up close... First of all, ditto to most everything stated below, as we were on the same trip! I cannot speak highly enough of the NatHab/Great White Bear team. Our guides, Leah and Rinie, were superb. My first goal was just to SEE a few polar bears, but I learned SO MUCH about polar bears, their populations and the problems confronting them,... More

We just returned from a week at the Great White Bear Lodge (GWBL). After reading the reviews we were extremely apprehensive about the experience. What we found exceeded all of our expectations. The guides (Rinie and Leah) were terrific. They were friendly, energetic, knowledgeable and entertaining. Our driver (Jason) did a suburb job of locating bears and other wildlife. The... More
