I arrived in Canada in October 2011 and decided to spend my Christmas holidays outside Winnipeg. It was my first time in Brandon, and my three days of vacation was just excellent -- made just so because Trails West Inn is a very good find. First, front desk staff were friendly and helpful, (also responsive to my emails). Second, the... More

I have stayed at Trails West many times over the past 10 years. I have noticed some recent changes that made me inclined to write this review. Firstly, they have updated the furniture (outside access rooms) and added new flat screen tvs! Please note they also have small fridges, coffee maker with coffee packet and microwaves in the room. The... More

Absolutelt horrible. The shower water burnt our kids and rooms had bed bugs. All they did was offer a new room. Wouldn't even discount it for us. Horrible horrible horrible.

We recognize that this issue is a potential problem every day, and do take it very serious. We as consumers have to remember that a hotel itself does not have bedbugs, it unfortunately is brought to the hotel either through luggage or clothes. Our hotel procedure is to immediately place a room suspected of a problem out of service. The... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night. It was a bargain at about $80 (before taxes, etc). We were given coupons for breakfast and dinner in the restaurant at check-in (10 or 20% off, I can't recall), but we didn't end up using them as it closed earlier than we were prepared for. Might be of note to... More

Trails West saved our family. Thank you to the staff at this hotel for making my daughter's get together a success! We became unexpected guests because we had to change hotels without notice because a west end hotel pool, slide and hot tub was closed by a health inspector..

This hotel is awesome. It has everything you need all in one place (clean rooms, 24 hour front desk staff, restaruant, great bar, waterslide/pool/hot tub, off sale). It is one of the closest hotels to Brandon's biggest shopping center on the North Hill. Lots of local attractions near by. The staff are fantastic and informative. Rooms were very clean. Looks... Stayed here in October, very friendly staff and accommodating. The rooms were nice, fresh and clean. Beds were very, very comfy, almost seemed like they were new. Decor is pleasant and simple. Room ammenities: hair dryer, coffee maker (no tea) microwave, fridge, clock radio. Small swimming pool with a couple of hot tubs, mainly used by kidlets. Wifi in the... More

There were lots of little problems that made this not a great place to stay. Hallway had a funky smell. Room was small and lacked sufficient electrical outlets. Lots of damage to walls partially hidden by furniture suggested maintenance was lacking. Bathtub was dangerously slippery. Not enough towels or shampoo provided. Beds were uncomfortable. The free wireless internet did not... More

Stayed here for 1 night during a roadtrip across Canada & US. May have had a coupon for it. Think it cost around $50-60. The staff were friendly & courteous & the motel was comfortable if nothing special. We had a look at the pool & slides which looked like fun for kids but we didn't try it out (although... More

We just dropped in unplanned & got great & friendly service. Our room was extremely clean, microwave, fridge, breakfast table/chairs, very comfy beds with extra pillows, good a/c & nice & quiet. Great looking water slide with hot tubs. Restaurant was closed when we got there, so we ate across the street at Patch's Family Restaurant on the suggestion of... More
