After reading the many negative reviews on TripAdvisor, I wasn't sure what to expect. But we just got back from three nights at the Mountainside Lodge and I'd definitely recommend it. We got it for US$110/night on Hotwire (3* Whistler), though after some research I realize that it might have been cheaper to book directly with the hotel. The studio... More

We booked our stay in Whistler through www.whistler.com which allows you to book a hotel room at a reduced rate but you do not know the name of the hotel until the reservation is complete. We were provided a one bedroom studio with a small kitchenette and a murphy wall bed for $119/night which is pretty good for Whistler in... More

The Mountainside Lodge does have a great location, and the price is not bad considering what some of the neighbouring properties charge. The biggest issue was the noise! My attitude is you're only in the room to sleep. Having said that, between the paper thin windows and noise from the street and hotel loading dock, and the guest upstairs walking... More

We spent a great deal of time looking for a place to stay where we could access the slopes and the nightlife whilst also being self catered. The Mountainside lodge met these requirements perfectly. The room was great and the staff where really friendly and helpful. The hot tub and pool were lovely and a perfect way to relax after... More

Overall our stay was good. The room we stayed in was spacy. The washroom was recently upgraded and looked good. We took a suite, which we always do due to our little kids. The suite had a fridge, stove and dinnerware. The room had a dinning table folded at night to make room for a bed. The hotel is few... More

The Good: Jacuzzi tub (really nice after long day in cold), fireplace (relaxing), very close to slopes and amenities, very reasonably priced in off season, DVD/CD player, full kitchen plus dishwasher. The Bad: Have to pay nightly for parking, and internet is $10 a night. Usually these things are included! Given the cheap rate per night, it wasn't too bad... More

Travelling halfway across the world for a 2 week ski holiday, meant we looked forward to a fabulous memory. Before leaving home I called hotel to check room was pool and mountain facing, yet on arrival after 36 hours travel this had been changed to a street facing room (and the luggage mislaid by Pacific Coach). A day later said... More

Hotel elevator didn't work for more than half the time. Was asked three times about attending a timeshare sales pitch. Was fined by a 'third party" for not displaying a parking pass even though we pay for parking and gave our license plate number when we checked in. To add to it all, the hotel was very noisey and seemed... More

Travelling alone for a few days to Whistler for some skiing. Efficient hotel staff, helpfull in providing local directions. Got upgrade to larger room, including small private sauna. Large LCD screen, gas fireplace, small kitchenette with all necessary equipment. Missed a place to enjoy the clean winter air (no balcony). Closely (+/- 50 meters) located to Whistler Village Centre, as... More

This is a good village location with a friendly staff. We stayed in a one bedroom loft which had a dry sauna and two bathrooms. The sauna may be important to you or not. Building is well maintained, fairly modern and the room was clean. Layout of the room appears to be odd at first but actually is quite nice... More
