The Sundial is the last family owned and operated hotel in Whistler. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There is no better location to stay in Whistler for getting up the gondola in the morning, or eating and shopping. The hotel is located right at the bottom of the main Whistler gondola. From hotel entrance to entrance, is was... More

Just back from three weeks there Feb - March 2015. Fantastic hotel. In heart of the village. 50yds to gondola. Staff are excellent. After a hard days skiing your skis are taken off you at the door and placed securely in your own locker. Highly recommend.

4 of us stayed in a 2-bedroom valley view suite for a week and had a great time. Wish we had 2 bathrooms but not a deal breaker. Staff was super responsive, helpful and efficient. The blow dryer in the bathroom blew out and 10 minutes after we called down about it, someone showed up and replaced it. Ski valet... More

We just spent 4 days @ Sundial. It is located right next to the gondolas which is great for skiing. We had a nice suite with one bedroom, one bath, a nice living room with a fire place and a nice kitchen. The deck is nice and what was great is that we had a jacuzzi! The room was very... More

Pros: Great location, helpful and friendly staff, retains a personal and intimate feel (unlike the Westin, PP, etc). Rooms are clean, kitchen well equipped and beds comfortable. Cons: Room toilets are in need for some improvements as fixtures are getting old. Only a fixed shower head (with mediocre water pressure) which for the price of the room is a bit... More

The Sundial claims to be a Boutique Hotel... This is not true, a lodge at best. A hotel has services available such as: in-room dining, outside telephone lines, breakfast in the hotel... these and others are not available. So therefore the Sundial can call itself at best a lodge! Furthermore, a hotel has educated staff that give the idea of... More

I have stayed here several times. The seperate bedroom is more than you get at many of the more epensive hotels and the access to the lifts and main village cannot be beat. Being smaller seems to lead to much better service as well. The rooms could be better appointed but it is still one of the best all things... More

Rooms are excellent; getting a suite for the price of a room at any of the other mountainside hotels is a great deal. Staff were uniformly excellent during our stay, knowing our room number on sight inside a day and incredibly helpful booking taxis, restaurants etc.

we stayed at the sundial for 3 weeks. We are repeat customers because - friendly staff who can't do enough for you, great location, just meters from the gondolas, and nice spacious rooms. Because of how long we stay we go for a deluxe one bedroom, or a deluxe one bedroom with a hot tub. Be aware, because of its... More

We stayed here last September for 4 days, and it was perfect. Location is great, but Whistler is an easy place to walk/get around. Very near to cheaper public parking lots if you don't want to pay for their closer/attached parkade. You can always pull your vehicle up to the hotel on/off load and then park your car. Room was...
