Tantalus had positive reviews so I decided to book for 3 nights for our family vacation. Got a fabulous deal on a one-bedroom suite - they matched and beat by 10% the lowest price on a hotel booking site. Liked the site - a quick walk to the village, but far enough for it to be quiet. The suite was... More

Stayed two nights here and had a one bedroom suite (room 421). Cost around CAD$105 per night plus CAD$18 per day for parking. It's close to Whistler Village and town centre. The suite was great - very spacious lounge, full kitchen, separate bedroom and bathroom. Full size fridge and microwave and dishwasher. Good size 37" TV. The property has a... More

I was hoping at the time of booking the poor reviews where a one off thing, but sadly, they are not. First the positive, yes the front desk was friendly, courteous & very helpful, same with the staff that came to repair the shower & to drop off replacement kitchen items. But the friendliness of the staff could not compensate... More

Paid $102 a night on hotels.com so no complaints there. Yes the hotel is dated and yes tiles in bathroom are too. There is a clear layer of grim everywhere and I was expecting this from other reviews.

At the spur of the moment I decided to book a one night stay for three rooms in Whistler for some friends and family. Not so easy given a 6 day lead time. Tantalus Lodge located just of the highway was able to fill the order at a reasonable Whistler price. Even though the building and rooms were older they... More

Not expecting first class, but it wasn't clean at all. Dirty splatters on the walls in the bathroom and my daughter also stepped on a piece of glass??? Not happy for spending over $200 on the end...only good thing was how pleasant the staff were.

The rooms here are very spacious as they are 2 bedroom units. The benefits of staying here are it's quiet, only a 5 minute walk to the village, the rooms are large ( 900 sq ft), full kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The units are a bit dated but they are comfortable. It does feel like a ski lodge as it... More

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. And while I'm not expecting the Four Seasons, I do expect a room to be clean and well-maintained for $190/night (which doesn't include the $18/night for parking). However, the hotel was really quite grungy. 1. When we first walked in, I noticed a plastic wrapper on the floor in the hallway. It... More

Tantalus was one of the first lodges I stayed at back when it first opened in 1978 (or so). The property is close enough to the center of the village, but far out enough to be very quiet. The rooms are comfortable and well-equiped. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to make your stay memorable.... More

My family of 4 recently stayed here for two nights. We were in a 2 bedroom suite and found the room to be very spacious. It is a short walk to the village. Kids enjoyed the pool and tennis courts. The room was "well used". The screens on the windows were bent. I was unable to fully close and latch... More
