An amazing honeymoon
Good location, clean tidy hotel. Not very welcoming reception. Glad we only stayed one night. more
My travel companion and I had booked a two day stay (June 4-6) at the Listel to end our stay in Canada after attending a conference. During a brief visit to Victoria, my friend became ill with a respiratory virus and we determined that it would be unwise to spend a day traveling to Whistler in the rain. I called... more
Nice room with view. Outside of hotel needs improving - bit dingy looking. Not easy to find in village - we had to ask at visitor centre in the end after an hour of driving around looking for it. Breakfast not included but restaurant on site - can have continental which includes fruit/fruit juices/cereals, but if you have full cooked... more
We drove to Whistler after getting off our cruise ship in Vancouver. The drive was spectacular, very easy to find Hotel with our GPS. Seemed like an older building, our room was facing the restaurant and somewhat the pool next door. We spent the weekend of a holiday and there was too much noise from college students. Noise was loud... more
Overall an expensive, dissapointing stay. Pro's: -Pool, hottub available -secure carparking (not free but secure and nice to have) -safe hotel (but whistler overall is quite safe feeling) -Free Internet -good location -clean carpets (but not clean beds! see below) -small fridge in room; coffee making facilities Con's: -first room was dirty- one bed had dark stains, what appeared to... more
I recently stayed at the Listel hotel everything started out fine until we noticed the amount of young colledge students staying there. They all happened to be staying on our floor. The party began at around 9:00 with a hour of silence when I figure they ventured out to the bar at midnight. The noise then continued from 1am till... more
My wife is senstive to heat and our room had no air conditioning. It was a very warm day. Vehicles are parked three deep and requires car keys to be left at the desk. For security the car must be completely unloaded. We left after one hour and were charged anyway. more
The hotel is nice, clean with comfortable beds, the staff personable. The room was a bit warm for us but we finally figured out how to open the windows, so no problem then. It's not far to carry your skis back to the hotel everyday, but we were super lazy and left them at a valet place and ski rental... more
We stayed here for 2 nights back in August 07 as part of our honeymoon. It was a great hotel but we struggled to find it at first but that was due to the map the car hire company had given us. The location was fantastic 2 mins walk to all the ameinities. We were asked if we would like... more
We arrived in Whistler without any reservations so we went to the tourist office. We were instructed, by the excellent office staff, to phone the town's hotel hotline using the dedicated phone in the office. We were found a hotel by the lady on the phone (we were predominantly budget driven, and the lady took this into account). The whole... more
