Lake Placid Lodge has units owned by a few vacation clubs as well as individual owners. It has a great huge pool and hot tub. Nice pool deck with tables and chairs for the 2 shares BBQ units. Location is great for Creekside because everything is just across the street for grocery, starbucks, liquor store, subway, and pizza, etc.

Lake Placid Resort is very convenient to Creek Side gondolas. It sits just across the street from the gondola loading area. From the secure ski storage area at the front entrance to the lift line is about 200 paces. The kids and adults enjoyed the large pool and hot tub. We used the convenient BBQ's next to the pool while... More

"Fantastic". That's my husband's answer to, "how would you review this resort?" We did an RCI timeshare exchange and got room 307. We were more than happy with the amenities, abundant supplies of towels, the decor, and the proximity of the resort to everywhere we wanted to go. We really appreciated the bellman cart and elevator as we did all... More

My wife and I stayed at Lake Placid Lodge in Creekside, Whistler in January 2014. The units appear to be owned by a large number of different individuals and organisations - ours (305) was a timeshare exchange and the unit was managed by Whiski Jack (we think other units may be rented out by other organisations). Lake Placid Lodge is... More

Whistler Retreats & Resort Quest - Fail! Both units booked through Whistler.com. I have had good success with booking thru Whistler.com many times in the past, but sadly not the case this time. We made a reservation for 2 units. The staff at whistler.com neglected to mention that each unit was booked with different property management companies, which meant two... More

No Air Conditioning in 90 degree summer weather. Showers in the dark. They write up good policies, but what's the point if they don't follow them? Heard every footstep. Elephants living upstairs. The good news is, the room sucks so much, it forces you to wake up early (that, plus the herd of elephants that live in the adjoining units),... More

These are privately owned individual units, managed by a company. Why is this bad for the consumer? Because there are huge challenges to achieving consistent standards, which is why you get spotty reviews for this place. We paid $118 per night and stayed for 5 nights in August 2014. -1 Star: In their policy sheet (see picture), they state that... More

Several timeshare companies have condos in the Lake Placid Lodge, so the unit's condition depends on the management company and when the unit was renovated. Our Condo is #201, and part of the former Whiski Jack/Raintree/Whistler Places group of condos in the LPL. We stayed in June 2014, and were delighted by the upgrades and renovations. Not Marriott quality, but... More

This building is definitely on the older side...but the condo we stayed in was nicely renovated. However, we stayed during the week & the neighbouring condo was being renovated so no sleeping in for us...they started work at 8 am everyday! The sound-proofing between condos is horrible as well...we could hear the various conversations going on between the construction crew... More
