We booked this hostel because of the good reviews from TA and Hostel World and we regretted it. The place is far out from the village even with a car. We arrived at night and took some time to find the property as it was dark everywhere and the hostel is located further off from the main road. The private... More

Do not stay here if you wish to be treat like a guest not an inconvenience. Arrives early and we were asked 'what do you want' and when we asked to use the bathroom we were told we were pushing it!! Too rude. People left cups in the kitchen uncleaned, I was asked if they were mine, I said no,... More

Fireside lodge was really nice, had a great friendly vibe, stayed in one of the private rooms and it was perfectly functional, better than a lot of other hostels. The real selling point was how helpful and pleasant all the staff were. Nice easy bus service into whistler a short walk away. The communal areas were nice offering plenty of... More

We stay for 3 nights at the end of June which is still early for summer busy season. Check in was easy, front desk (limited hours) was friendly. Overall we had a great time. It was very quiet, and very clean (taking your shoes off at the door helps). Kitchen was HUGE and exceptionally equipped which made cooking dinner at... More

If you wanna stay at a calm and cozy place in whistler, fireside lodge is the best for the price/quality. They could charge double the price and I would still go there. Not too far from downtown, there's a bus on the corner of the street.

My partner and I stayed here for just under a week! The lodge was very clean and cosy - we stayed in a private room. The Lodge was quiet and in a good location to get to the village. We took a bus each day and it didn't take too long to walk to a bus stop. We would stay... More

A true ski lodge. The kitchen was the best I've seen in lodge/hostel type accomodation. The bathrooms are basic but clean. A big roaring fire is a good place to have a red wine and meet fellow travellers. Short walk to bus stop for bus to either ski village. The bus trips are worth it when the accomodation is such... This hostel is definitely one of the best equipped I have ever stayed in! The kitchen was enormous and had anything you could imagine. Communal areas were big but cosy with loads of huge sofas to sit on and a fire which would be perfect in winter (there's a good games room too). Rooms were nice and again, bathrooms probably... Really friendly, a good price considering the popular location and impecably clean. It is a bit further away from the village than other accomodation but there is a lovely lake side walk to get in to Whistler Village which doesn't take very long. The bathrooms could do with an upgrade but were still clean!
