Having read comments here before booking, my husband and I expected a lot more. We paid $249 per night for the Shooting Star room, expecting a good night sleep (we could hear the other guests late into the night - some snoring, singing, walking around. The Inn is not at all sound proof), a good breakfast (very ordinary, disappointing. They... More

A most enjoyable stay on this lakeside Inn. The hosts were very attentive and assisted in locating attraction etc. The accommodation was well worth the slight extra in cost. The rooms were immaculate with good views over the lake

Breakfast was a disaster. Food plonked down on your table and the ONLY unfriendly server we had on our whole holiday. NO choice of toast, bread or any other choices. Looked like a quiche that was store bought. Flavoured coffee. Dirty coffee cup given. Breakfast sharp at 9h00 otherwise you will miss it. The lake is beautiful and the beach... More

Breath-taking views of the lake. Great Stay. Friendly staff. Quiet, secluded little beach with access to kayaks. The breakfasts were very nice and well presented. Make sure you are seated right at 9am or you may get scolded. The only thing is it is hard to find decent restaurants in the area by the lake. We ordered the U-Cook BBQ... More

I have never written a review before, but our experience was so wonderful I felt compelled to share it. I have stayed in Inns all over the world and the Illahee Inn is the winner by far. The owners Peter and Debbie are delightful, their service is outstanding, and the food was amazing. Make sure you ask Debbie to make... More

As a last minute surprise weekend away, we stayed at the Illahee Inn in Vernon. With an exceptional lakeshore location, the Inn boasts beauty matched only by it's quality of service. Even in the middle of winter, it was easy to get to, and easy to stay warm and cozy; either in the outdoor hot tub by the lake or... More

Stayed with my sister for 1 night. We usually get 2 queens when traveling however the inn only has 1 bed per room. We took the room with 1 kingsize bed. We quickly realized the room was odd. It had 2 cheap color-paper-over-turning-lamp fireplaces (one in each corner); a Vegas style glittering-light picture of Kalamalka Lake hung directly below the... More

On February 4th, as I was on my way out the door for an important meeting, two women showed up at the Inn looking for a room. This was at 12:30 (noon) with no advanced booking. I explained our accommodations and upon their request to see a room, I graciously, though it was now going to make me late for... More

We regretted we didn't have more time to spend at this wonderful B&B as we could easily have spent several more days enjoying our surroundings. It is evident that every detail of this gorgeous building has been well thought out. There is a wonderful open space available for reading and/or striking up conversations. On the other hand, if you are... More
