Very friendly hosts; a beautiful, clean room, wonderfully decorated older house from the 19th century and extremely close to downtown Victoria. The meals were great!! Within walking distance to everything we wanted to see!! Parking was safe and secure next door and the host even carried our baggage up the stairs. Would stay again!

The rooms here are not luxurious or particularly "homey" but they are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is pretty standard fare and plentiful, with fresh fruit, eggs and meat, and what appeared to be freshly baked scones or muffins. The hosts are friendly but somewhat aloof. Its actually a bit more like a boutique hotel than a B&B. Free parking is... More

Excellent position very close to the Museum of BC and centre of Victoria. Secure parking available close to the property. Very comfortable bed in the Superior Queen Suite and the accommodation is good but very open plan. Superb breakfast shared with other guests in first class surroundings. Lovely hosts with nothing too much trouble.

This B&B is just a short walk from the harbour in downtown Victoria on Vancouver Island. The couple who run this place are friendly, cheerful hosts. Our room was right at the top of the building and it was an enormous room. There is also a substantial balcony room at the back with a small fridge. I have never seen... More

The heritage house in which the Robert Porter B&B is located was substantially renovated about 10 years ago, including raising the building and creating B&B suites in the lower floor (where our room was), Nicely finished, good breakfast, underground parking next door, private entrance to our room - all at a price that very reasonable when compared to nearby hotels.... Okay, the below street level rooms are kinda creepy at first, but once you get used to the view....kinda like the old Lavern and Shirley show where they lived in a basement apartment, the place was nice. Certainly not large or luxurious, but fine for a night or two.The hosts were very nice, the breakfasts ample and the location was... More

We stayed at the Robert Porter House during the Easter weekend. The B&B location is very close to the BC Museum, Government Buildings, and the downtown area where there are unique shops. The Beacon Hill Park is basically across the street. This is a very large park. Too bad we did not have time to explore. The Robert Porter House... More

We made a last-minute decision to visit family in Victoria. All our usual hotels were fully booked. We will definitely return to this charming property. An outstanding architectural gem. It has been beautifully restored, with modern conveniences such as heated floors whilst keeping the truly wonderful old radiators. Free secured underground parking and absolutely delicious three course breakfasts ,freshly cooked... More

After extensive search on Trip Advisor I decided on Robert Porter house, and it was a great choice for a mother daughter trip! The owners and very friendly and always had a smile on their face. They gave us a tour on arrival. We were happy with our room and our cute little private balcony/outdoor seating area! The breakfasts were... More
