My sister and I stayed here for a week in February 2015. The hotel is clean and the location is only 3 minutes from downtown Victoria. Our room had a full sized fridge, microwave, 2 element stove and sink. It was perfect to make ourselves a breakfast, pack a lunch and be on the go for the rest of the... More

This is a small hill that is in a neighborhood, yet, still within a two block walk to downtown harbor area. The room was comfortable and very big. The room we had, had a kitchen. That was convenient. The bathroom was adequate, not nearly as big as the room, but, it was just fine. The beds and linens were comfortable.... More

I have stayed in many places in Victoria but so happy that I found this place. I stayed there with my daughter and a friend. We had a separate bedroom with 2 double beds and a sitting room with a hide-a-bed. There was also a small kitchen. Everything was cozy, comfortable and clean. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. It... More

Good location, confusing grounds with different buildings and many exits. Walls were very thin and you could hear people talking through them. By the time we left, the hair dryer, iron, ironing board, and one wall outlet had stopped working. The bathroom was really small and poorly set up. The plus side is that it was clean. After voicing our... More

My family stayed at Helms Inn over Canada Day weekend this past summer and it was a great stay. We had two rooms and ours was like a small apartment with a kitchen. The room was very clean and tidy and appeared to have been renovated recently. We had a corner room on the top floor near the back of... More

Helms Inn is handily located in downtown Victoria, close to the BC Museum and lots of restaurants. Their prices are extremely reasonable given their location; the rooms are spotless and the staff very pleasant. The kitchenettes are handy if you're planning to do some meals in your room. The fact that it is a reasonable stroll from places we like... More

Stayed there for three months and it was my best stay in Victoria! The people who work there are very friendly and available! The location is very close to all main tourists points of the city. Would recommend and definitely come back someday!

We have stayed here a dozen times or more and it has always been good. If you get the King Suite with the kitchen you can save even more money by cooking at "home". Our running club members always reserve rooms months in advance for the Victoria Marathon. It is just a short jog to the start/finish. Fantastic location, short... More

We stayed in a "King Suite". It is an older place but has been refurbished with high end materials. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed very comfortable. We were on the south side which was quiet. The staff was very helpful and professional. There is no elevator and parking is outside which might be a problem for some.... More

Very nice room at an affordable price. Studio with kitchen. (They have one bed apartments too.) Easy walk to the waterfront, restaurants, Legislative Bldg and downtown in one direction, and an excellent grocery store in the other direction. Across the street is Beacon Hill Park. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. I was there for 3 days but would... More
