Helms Inn is handily located in downtown Victoria, close to the BC Museum and lots of restaurants. Their prices are extremely reasonable given their location; the rooms are spotless and the staff very pleasant. The kitchenettes are handy if you're planning to do some meals in your room. The fact that it is a reasonable stroll from places we like... More

Stayed there for three months and it was my best stay in Victoria! The people who work there are very friendly and available! The location is very close to all main tourists points of the city. Would recommend and definitely come back someday!

We have stayed here a dozen times or more and it has always been good. If you get the King Suite with the kitchen you can save even more money by cooking at "home". Our running club members always reserve rooms months in advance for the Victoria Marathon. It is just a short jog to the start/finish. Fantastic location, short... More

We stayed in a "King Suite". It is an older place but has been refurbished with high end materials. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed very comfortable. We were on the south side which was quiet. The staff was very helpful and professional. There is no elevator and parking is outside which might be a problem for some.... More

Very nice room at an affordable price. Studio with kitchen. (They have one bed apartments too.) Easy walk to the waterfront, restaurants, Legislative Bldg and downtown in one direction, and an excellent grocery store in the other direction. Across the street is Beacon Hill Park. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. I was there for 3 days but would... More

We've been guests at the Helms Inn numerous times in past years and the service is always warm, considerate and helpful. The rooms, which have all been refurbished, are clean, modern, well appointed and comfortable. The location is convenient just about a block away from the RBC Museum, Beacon Hill Park, market and waterfront. It's also a just short walk... More

The hotel consists of three separate buildings. Upon a check in I was given a room in a main building, which is facing rather busy Douglas st. I asked for a quieter room, that would face either into the interior or a quieter Superior St. Since it was a midweek and off season, I was upgraded (for free) to a... More

I was feeling pretty fed up after a sardine like transit from Vancouver and the appalling weather but my mood took an instant upwards turn when I walked into my room. Way above what I was expecting. It was like an apartment and I was able to make my own breakfast and dinner which I am a big fan of.... More

I've been meaning to write this review since I stayed in the Helm's Inn last summer. The hotel was/is that good. I booked the reservation there after reading many glowing online reviews. (A good call on my part.) The Helm's Inn is conveniently located. We walked to a grocery story for food. Parking was not a problem. The rooms were... More

After arriving in Victoria to pouring rain, it was nice to find this hotel and check in. The hotel is located in a great part of town, close to all the main attractions victoria has to offer and near plenty of great places to eat. The room was huge, and had a mini fridge and other mod cons that helped... More
