We only spent one night but the staff were helpful and the room was very clean and nicely appointed. They even carried my heavy bag up three flights since there isn't an elevator. Location is perfect for downtown with an easy walk to all the action in less than five minutes. C&D, Tobermory Ont.

This hotel had lovely rooms with a well equipped kitchen. The front desk was very helpful with any of our needs or questions. This hotel is very close to the harbor so we could walk there in the evenings.

We stayed at this hotel while visiting Victoria. Right across the street from the park. Walking distance to downtown and the wharf, Robert Bateman gallery...It's an older hotel. No elevators, but the room we had was amazing. Lots of space. Kitchenette. King bed and very bright. Loved it. Very homey feel to this hotel. If we were staying longer in... More

Two of my daughters and I hiked the West Coast Trail this September, and we needed a place close to the bus terminal to catch the bus to Bamfield, the start of our trail. We flew into Victoria so also needed to store our carry on baggage that we did not want to take on the trail. This hotel was... More

This is an older hotel that has had all the rooms redone, right next to Beacons Hill Park and the inner harbour where all the activities take place. The rooms are fully equipped with a great kitchen with everything you would need to cook a meal. The room which is really a suite, have a great A/C and have two... More

This was a very nice hotel for a 3-star. Our only complaint is that it was a bit noisy, but since our room faced the street, that is understandable. It came with a fully equipped kitchenette (fridge & stove, dishes & utensils), plus a Murphy bed. We would stay there again when visiting Victoria.

Fantastic and welcomed stay after having a horrible experience at a property immediately before our arrival at Helm's Inn. Rooms were immaculate, well appointed, and nicely decorated. The location really couldn't be any better tucked away on a quiet street, but just a short walk to all the Victoria attractions. The staff were very friendly and provided great suggestions of... We used TripAdvisor to select Helm's Inn for our 3-day stay. There were other more expensive hotels in Victoria but the TA reviews and value-based pricing sold us on this one. The hotel does not have the initial "curb appeal" in hotels that we typically choose but it certainly is a hidden gem in Victoria. Though the hotel is an... More

My mother and I spent one night at Helm's Inn. We found the location very convenient: close to the bus depot where we arrived and departed, and near the Parliament building and harbor. Despite being in the heart of things, our room was not facing the street, and was very quiet and comfortable. In fact, my mother kept remarking how... More

An older property that has been maintained, updated and equipped with friendly and helpful staff. Room was great, clean, updated and well furnished with a functional if small kitchenette all for a reasonable price. The property is well located and easy walking distance to the inner harbour which makes a great jumping off point to exploring the downtown core. Parking... More
