I've been meaning to write this review since I stayed in the Helm's Inn last summer. The hotel was/is that good. I booked the reservation there after reading many glowing online reviews. (A good call on my part.) The Helm's Inn is conveniently located. We walked to a grocery story for food. Parking was not a problem. The rooms were... More

After arriving in Victoria to pouring rain, it was nice to find this hotel and check in. The hotel is located in a great part of town, close to all the main attractions victoria has to offer and near plenty of great places to eat. The room was huge, and had a mini fridge and other mod cons that helped... More

I decided to relocate from another property which didn't suit my family's needs on a recent two night stay in Victoria. This was during an extended Remembrance day weekend that saw many people visiting and taking Monday Nov 10 off, (including several school districts) so many of the hotels in the area were fully booked. Helm's Inn had a room... More

The hotel is located at the end of the Main Street and within a very short walk of the Government building and the harbour. The room had a bedroom that held the two queen beds and not much else but there was also a kitchen/sitting room area and a large bathroom. There was plenty of storage in the hall area... More

The Helm's Inn has been my place of choice for years in Victoria. It is excellent quality, with friendly, professional staff, and the rooms and suites feel like home, all for amazingly low prices. A suite in the hotel, with a separate sitting room, bathroom, bedroom, cooker, fridge, freezer, costs less than most standard hotel rooms. Coffee is free all... More

Helm's Inn suited our needs of being close to the centre of Victoria where we were basing all of our activities, whilst providing a comfortable sleep, a fresh morning shower, and the convenience of car parking facilities. In this respect the accommodation was fine (although I personally found the beds not so comfortable). The service we received from staff was... More

This is a great little hotel, with an excellent location. From the start, the staff were very friendly and accommodating of our requests for late checkout etc. The room was larger than I had expected and very well appointed with a small kitchen and fridge. The room was clean and comfortable. This hotel is situated close to downtown, everything is... More

We enjoyed the nicely furnished, clean and pretty room which had an excellent KS bed. Had a small issue with ladies talking loudly in room next to our's, but desk clerk immediately handled it. Free, great map of Victoria was appreciated and we really loved being within walking distance of museums, good restaurants and the harbor. We will definitely return... More

I stayed at the Helm's in for a week, on vacation with my mother. We had a room with a mini kitchen, which ended up being an incredible asset as breakfast was the least of our priorities, and on certain days, it was hard to find breakfast downtown (especially on the go). Saved a lot of time and money. The... More

An older hotel that actually occupies three buildings. There are no elevators and no restaurant. We let the hotel know in advance that we had trouble with lots of stairs and they booked us on a main floor. The room had a kitchenette and a separate bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed. We arrived early hoping to store... More
