The Hotel 8 in Victoria Canada along Douglas Street is the worst hotel that we stayed at. We checked in late at night. When we entered the room, it was a total disaster. The beds were not made up, there are trash all over, the coffee maker was not washed. And the bathroom is not clean. There are still the... more

Just returned from a visit to Victoria where we had a couple of 2 double bed rooms. Location: The hotel was slightly away from downtown but since I had taken my car it was easy to get there. It is on Douglas which is busy but I didn't here the road much inside my room - maybe I was just... more

This was a great hotel... we stayed for a week and loved it! Yes the elevator is small... and it's on a noisey street but the kindness off the staff totally make up for it...we stayed in a plain Jane room which looked to be newly renovated and had no issues! PS... You have try the Desert in the Vintage... more

Our family of 4 stayed at this hotel for two nights on our family vacation. My husband and myself were traveling with our two young daughters 5 and 6 years old. We were lucky enough to get one of the remodeled rooms and were pleased with the décor and cleanliness of the room. The stay included a continental breakfast but... more

My husband and I booked this motel for one night, the last night of our vacation on Vancouver Ilsand. We are not picky people, and quite used to get the most economical accommodation and to be content with that. This one was just dreadful. I agree with the previous review (from July 19th) entirely. For some reason Tripadvisor misguided us.... more

Expected better after reading reviews in trip advisor. Our room was very small with two double beds. It was hard to pass one another. Elevator was tiny . . hard to get luggage carrier in with suitcases. We are two adults travelling with our daughter and 4 year old granddaughter. Rate included breakfast for adults only. Children were excluded. This... more

Was a little nervous because reviews on this site were mixed. I visit Victoria about 5 times a year due to my children's squash and tennis tournaments. This hotel was clean, bright, quiet, and had very pleasant, though small, guest rooms. Complimentary breakfast at The Sixties Diner, with its booths, stainless steel, and "lunch counter" had me regaling my 15... more

Stayed here for one night in early May 07. My intent was to visit Victoria. Location is not the greatest as it is not within walking distance from the downtown core. I had some difficulties with check-in. The first room I was given had severely stained carpets and the room had a foul odour. I asked at the front desk... more
