More than we anticipated for the week we were there. We had a conference and an anniversary to attend, and Gavin was more than accommodating to help us to find our way around. The breakfast was different each morning-beautifully presented and prepared. The room was very clean with a cozy, relaxing atmosphere. more

Staying at Ambrosia B&B was a lovely experience. There was a feeling of being well-cared for, yet a respect for privacy. The room was cozy, clean, and quiet. The food was extraordinary. And, the personal touches by Gavin and Gae are too numerous to count. I would not hesitate to stay with them again. more

Very nice place, with a very particular owner. High level breakfast. Probably too expensive: about 300 euro for a night in 2007 (local taxes included). more

My son and I stayed at the Ambrosia for one night May 14, 2009, as part of a 20th birthday trip for him. The Ambrosia, as others have said, is a lovely house. I was very happy with the location which backs to St. Ann's, a former convent and current government building surrounded by lush lawns. Our hosts were kind... more

The host was very welcoming and helpful but at the same time respected our privacy. He helped give us directions to various places The b and b was in a lovely residential neighbourhood with beautiful gardens (blossoms were out!) The bed was like floating on a cloud, and the bath tub so decadent it made us late for our dinner... more

The Ambrosia is the perfect place to explore Victoria. Gae and Gavin made us feel like we were family friends, and every place they recommended was spot-on. The location is a convenient walk to the harbor, restaurants, and other sights. The rooms are tasteful, luxurious, and welcoming. And the breakfast is amazing. I could go on but would rather allow... more

Stayed for 2 nights earlier this month. Gavin is a very warm and welcoming host, full of information and is happy to call around and make trip/travel arrangements for you which is really helpful. Our room (Isis) was a good size, very clean and the bed was really comfortable. Jacuzzi was amazing, and rest of the bathroom also very clean... more

Can't think of a single thing that could be better. The Ambrosia B&B is within walking distance from the town center and has parking. The host is helpful. The room was beautiful (especially the bathroom with the jacuzzi) and quiet. The breakfast was amazing. I'd praise this place even more, but I don't want the prices to go up too... more

This place is perfect! Located just outside the centre so you feel out of the city but still just a few minutes walk from the harbour. The rooms are stylish but comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing, a la carte, something different every morning. Gavin is a charming, friendly and very helpful host. He helped us make the best of our... more
