One night was enough. Sandman must be manufacturing their own brand of the entire spectrum of brown paint. The whole hotel is decked out in depressing shades of yes, brown. The room was large but just felt like I couldn't relax as it felt grotty for want of a better word. No duvets but some awful type of synthetic blanket.... More

Considering where you are in Victoria, the rate was about the only real pleasantry of this hotel. Being attached to Shark Club was a plus but only for an hour or so. The room was nicely placed but in dire need of updating. The only modern thing in the room was a flat wall mounted TV. The bed was awful... More

A one night stay. OK not quite in the centre of Victoria - more like a 20 minute walk! But rooms were clean and spacious, staff were pleasant, and the sleep was good. Didn't do the breakfast as there were too many other options. The shark bar next door just offers normal sports bar fare, i.e. American football (which I... More

We stayed here just one night traveling around in BC. Overall clean hotel with friendly staff at a feasible 15 min walk from downtown Victoria. The swimming pool is fine, the gym somehow stuffy because of little air circulation. There is also a small laundry available.

It was clean, had spacious rooms and the staff was friendly/knowledgeable. We stayed there for 3 nights while visiting Victoria. Its a 5/10 minute cab ride to downtown or the harbor. The restaurant that's attached to the hotel has very good food and service. They have a breakfast area that's separate from the hotel plus a full sized bar/restaurant in... More

My room was much better than I expected for the price. It was a mini suite on the third floor with both a bedroom and a small sitting room. The bed was a king and very comfortable. All of the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I will use this as my Victoria hotel in the future.

My family booked a room with a kitchenette so we could be self-sufficient for the weekend while we were attending a softball tournament in town. We were placed in a room with a window overlooking the front entrance and smoking area, meaning we had the sun shining in our window early in the morning, which I actually enjoyed. The only... More

This hotel was slightly out of town with approx 30 min walk to harbour. The hotel was good, with friendly efficient service. Room was large with kitchenette so if staying for more the one night could be useful.. The only downside to the hotel was location, the walk back from town at night was passed prostitutes and homeless sleeping rough.... More

We stayed overnight in a King Suite. Bed was comfortable, room space is ok, clean. large indoor pool. Negative: pillows are not enough- be sure to ask for extra as soon as you check-in. Towels are not big enough & easily soaks so ask for extra, too.

It was bad on my first visit in May. I had a very old room that seemed like it hadn't been renovated since the early 90's. When I asked to switch to the "renovated" part of the hotel they told me it would be a loss of revenue... Guest services is not their strongest either. I'm not sure why I... More
