I stayed here when my son was in the hospital. I was only here one night and only slept as I didn't arrive till late at night and was gone quite promptly in the morning. Even though I came in late at night the desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The parking lot was really full unfortunately but I... More

I applaud the concept behind the Zed - it is clever and charming and very creative. But they don't have coffee makers in the rooms. The reason for this is they wanted to put their coffee resources into very good coffee located in the lobby, thus encouraging guests to interact with each other. And that's great. But for business travellers... More

Smiles go miles Immediately as you arrive at hotel zed you know your in for something unique and special. What grabs your attention foremost though, is the courteous, friendly, go out of their way staff. If you've read other reviews they've vastly covered the 70s theme, the decor and amenities...so I need not banter about that. I've stayed in 5... More

The staff at Hotel Zed are amazing and very friendly people. They help give Canada a good reputation. They treat you like people not a number. They talk with a smile in their voice and have wonderful customer service skills. The cleanliness of this hotel was exceptional! Jessica did an outstanding job in making sure that everything in our room... More

I gotta say that they really did an interesting remodel of this place. It was formerly known as the Blue Ridge Inn when I stayed last year. I don't know if the "Zed" part of the hotel's name works for me but hey, that's marketing for you. Basically what your paying for is convenience balanced out by cost and value.... More

Hi Matt G. Thanks for choosing to stay at Hotel Zed. Glad you enjoyed your stay for the most part. We made a decision to go with gourmet coffee in the lobby versus the boring old typical stuff you get in rooms at most hotels. Sorry if that was not your style. We will also have maintenance check for that... More

Little far out of city, however free bike hire and shuttle service. Spotless rooms everything new, well thought out, little touches everywhere, awesome staff, map on check in, spent a lot on renovation, just ac missing. Do have fan though. Wouldn't recommend anywhere else for value and service in Victoria.

We stayed at Hotel Zed on two separate nights whilst exploring Victoria and the Gulf Islands. They have clearly put a ton of effort into face lifting this hotel. The retro feel is quite cool - loved the decor and the comic books! Good k-cup coffee in the lobby and the staff were super friendly. The first night we stayed... More

I have mixed feelings about this Motel. LOCATION About 5 minutes by car to Downtown, across from a small Shopping Mall, not bad. COMMON AREAS Free parking outside the room, that was a plus. The stairs were a bit dirty. The pool is indoors, it wasn't appealing so I didn't try it. They also have a slide and hot tub.... More

Dear CDNchicken Thanks for the review on Hotel Zed. It sounds like you enjoy some of the things about your stay but I am sorry we didn't meet all of your expectations. Our VW Bus schedule is 9am to 8pm daily but I believe we had a staffing issue the day you were here and could only run it until... More
