The Rosewood is a great place if you are in Victoria for a few days without a car (e.g. taking the Clipper from Seattle). Just a block behind the Parliament building, so its an easy walk to downtown, BC Museum (which is worth a couple of days in itself if you've never been!), Beacon Hill Park and the beach walk,... We are VI owners and stayed at the Rosewood for 4 nights for our anniversary. We had room 16, the Daffodil Room, which was quite large with very high ceilings and very nicely decorated. It has a king sized bed and a super large bathroom with a jetted tub and separate shower. I was a little concerned since there is... More

The staff were very friendly. I thought that they could of upgraded the rooms. They were very old - it grossed my out. TV was VERY small. The breakfast was good, but I hate seafood. Make sure you're on the list to eat - because you have to pay the fee regardless. It's a bit steep, especially since I'm not... More

We celebrated our 50th anniversary at the Rosewood and found it to be full of charm and the fireplace was a nice touch. However, being forced to pay for the breakfast seemed a bit too much. We are not huge breakfast eaters, but we did meet wonderful people to visit with. However I was ill one morning and could not... More

We have spent a week at Rosewood. The location is fantastic, one block from Parliament & the BC museum. Downtown Victoria is completely walkable. The public bus system will take you anywhere you want for $2.50 or a senior at $1.50. The main bus stop for all buses is only a block away! Rosewood provided an excellent breakfast every morning.... Overall Nice Inn not really a B&B because they charge with taxes about $30.00/day per couple for Breakfast and Afternoon tea which isn't alot but considering what you got and how it was presented you could find much better B&B's breakfasts in Victoria. But what was nice about staying there is the nice staff and the large clean rooms plus the... This is a wonderful small hotel within two blocks of the Empress Hotel and the BC Museum. The personnel were very friendly and helpful. The three course breakfasts were scrumptious. Their sitting room downstairs was quite comfortable and provided a pleasant way to talk with fellow guests. We would definitely return to the Rosewood.

It was much better than expected. A short walk from the harbor and the tourist area. The manditory meal fee was well worth it especially compared to the Empress Tea. Rooms were a nice hotel size. Only things I would like to see changed is a bigger shelf for toiletries in the bathroom and non glass glasses in there.

My partner and I rave about the Rosewood Inn! The service and food are amazing. My partner is gluten-free and the staff is wonderful about accommodating her with options. Worth the $13 a day for food. Within walking distance to beautiful Beacon Hill Park and downtown Victoria. Our second time staying here. A wonderful, hidden gem.

Make sure you check before booking if the breakfast is included. I book with book.com and it was. Got there and was told I had to pay a mandatory fee of 13.00 per person per day. Breakfast is a sign up for 8 or 9.15 first come service. The stuff could be more friendly to the guest. The location is great.
