I stayed at the Bedford Regency for my week's exploration of Victoria. The location is perfect for sightseeing, dining and transport. The reception staff were helpful and welcoming, providing tips and discount vouchers. My room had a retro feel which was quirky and cosy, and there was a lovely view of the harbour from the bed - and even from... More

This is a very old hotel that definitely needs serious updating. The parking is a block away and DO NOT spend the 11.00 at the hotel for the parking pass. The max that the parking ramp charges is 4.75. So you are better off to pay on your own. The beds are terrible and the walls are paper thin. I... More

This will be an unusual review, as I spent time in two entirely different rooms at the Bedford. Originally I booked a standard room, which was London-tiny. In a city inspired by British traditions, that should be both expected, and a requisite part of the experience to get the feeling of the Old World without the trouble of crossing the... More

Fantastic central location for exploring Victoria. Fairly basic with tired decor but we slept really well and the shower was fantastic. We were woken up early because of the seagulls. Perhaps a little more attention could have been paid to cleaning especially under the bed which had waste from previous guests.

This is a review of the service for the Bedford Regency. For more about the hotel, please see my previous review. A friend and I stayed at the Bedford Regency in April 2015. The first morning of our stay, we woke up to a flood in our bathroom. The management could not re-accommodate us to our requirements because the hotel... More

My first impression of the hotel was not great, but it really grew on me. The lobby is not appealing and really looks more like a hallway. I definitely got that dated feel as I checked in, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. As I went to my room I noticed the carpets were old and paint could... More

The Bedford is a historical boutique hotel located in the center of downtown Victoria. It has a certain charm with only a few issues The most irritating is the check in which seems to be 3pm with NO Matter how long you have been on the road a big problem if you just arrived from Europe I took the larger... Cute little boutique Hotel in the heart of Victoria. The lobby furnishings are a little old but the rooms have been renovated. This hotel is good for tourists, but if your travelling on business, it's not for you. There is NO parking, you have to use a public parking lot that is a block and a half away (5 minute... More

The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring this beautiful city. The price is also the best I could find for this location. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Parking is quite a distance away, bit of a walk, especially in the rain. Room was very clean but very dated, its like a decor trip to the 1980s, ruffled blinds... More

Wow...not sure how to put this, so I'll list the pros & cons: Pros: Great location Clean Cons: Lack of space to park vehicle to check in - the two spaces are supposed to be for guests, but I guess the taxi drivers can't read the sign. Parking - Brutal - had to pay for parking on the street to... More
