If you're looking for a unique place to stay in Victoria, you've found it! I was looking for a reasonably priced place to stay near the Victoria Conference Centre and stumbled upon the Union Club. It definitely has it's old world charm, my favorite was the elevator (which I rode as much as I could). My room was not updated,... More

For my wife and I this was, at the same time, to be a stay of nostalgia in the Canadian city of Victoria but also one of discovery too. And the role The Union Club played was pivotal in making our stay in the city a wonderful memory now. Nearly 100 years ago my family had originally come from Victoria... More

We arrived early and we were greeted with a warm smile. We couldn't check into our room so they were able to store our luggage while we took off sightseeing. Checked in later with no hassles. It's a small hotel so you don't have large lines waiting to get checked in. The place is across from the visitor info and... More

I have been there for business meetings, it's very nice, spacious, antique furniture. Lovely buffet dinner, great service. I have heard the accommodation is really very nice. This private club has been in Victoria for many years. People who are staying there must have a membership as it is private. This is open to males and females for reservations as... More

I have stayed at the Union Club several times . The location on the inner harbour , close to restaurants and shopping is unbeatable . The Club is welcoming and comfortable with great dining facilities , a cozy bar , convenient parking and the most fantastic reading room on Vancouver Island ! Try this place once and you will make... we have visited several times for functions. The building dates back to the early part of the 20th century and is full of high ceilings and comfortable day rooms. The restaurant is reasonable although the service can be lacking and the food isn't always up to scratch.

Excellent location in city centre. Standard room well appointed and comfortable at a very reasonable price with full breakfast included in fine dining room with good menu. The Club offers refined accommodation and surroundings with reading room. Very pleasant, respectful staff. Must be a club member or referred by a member.

I stayed at the Union Club because it was the venue for the next day's early meeting. It was a little difficult to find due to very low key signage. I lugged my bags up several steps, walked inside and buzzed for entrance. I felt I was presentable in my dress( black pants and white shirt) but I had the... More

Dear Bubsy D., I am sorry to hear your time with us at The Union Club was less than favourable. We strive to provide a 'home away from home' and clearly that did not happen on your last visit. Upon check in our front desk agents do make mention of the dress code as we are a private members club... More

For our annual MahJongg Marathon we all agree: There can be no better place than "home" (which for our group, means the Union Club of BC). We always feel pampered at the UC, especially when we leave behind our families and settle in for 24-hours of non-stop lady fun. The rooms are elegantly furnished and extremely comfortable, given the recent... More

My wife and I spent a week staying at the Union Club on a visit to Victoria. We had a comfortable and spacious room, complete with separate sitting room, which was ideal for relaxing. The location is first class, with everything you might want to see or visit within walking distance. The service from the staff was outstanding - helpful,... More
