We stayed at Heritage House in August 2006, so this review is a little late in coming. The neighborhood where the inn is located is a little off putting at first but once we found the quiet private drive leading up to the house, we were reassured that we had made the right choice. Our hostess, Sandy, was sitting on the patio reading a newspaper, and as soon as we drove in, she invited us to sit with her and offered us a glass of wine. Her husband, Larry, who was busy with chores on the grounds, joined us for a few moments. Before even seeing the inside of the place, we felt at home!
Our room was comfortable and clean, the rest of the house was immaculate and filled not only with wonderful antiques but also was the subject of a very nice story of a sea captain who brought his Japanese bride to Canada to escape the prejudice they were subjected to in his native England.
