Over the last 5 years I have stayed in Victoria many times in many hotels, from 5 stars down to 3 stars. When I received the Hotel Rialto on Hotwire I was less than thrilled. I had read the reviews and the word "noisy" and Victoria just didn't fit. However, when we pulled up and I started to see the... More

AC broke in the middle of the night and no one to fix! next day the room was not cleaned even after leaving the note on the door! nothing more than a average motel? Given a roon where you see a roof full of sea gull poop! front staff very arrogant! Free brekafast is a gimick as you only get... More

Excellent value and excellent service. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was great! Great location and consider this a great find! Walking distance to all the famous downtown Victoria landmarks . The room was a little small, but very clean and very comfortable. Parking is a block from hotel but still pretty convenient.

Stayed two nights at the Hotel Rialto during our summer vacation. From the check in to check out the service was great. Smiling pleasant and competent staff. Although the room was small...the furnishings were clean and comfortable. The restaurant/bar was the best...great food, drinks, and staff. Kudos to Hotel Rialto. ..job well done!!

One never knows what to expect from a boutique hotel; they can be lovely or just really old. The Hotel Rialto definitely fell into the lovely category but then jumped several notches with the service. Little touches like the complementary cheese plate delivered to our room (it had nuts so those with allergies would want to mention that), noticing that... More

Some places you stay you are treated as a paying customer: at Hotel Rialto we were treated as guests of a fine establishment. Although we were not able to have an early check in, our wait was worth the time as in honour of my husband's birthday we were treated to a complimentry upgrade, and this gesture set the scene... Hello Lara, What a nice way to sum up what we are trying to accomplish here, "treat you as a guest, not a customer" I like that. Thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback on your stay, we always appreciate hearing from our guests. Look forward to your return to stay with us again. Sincerely, Rob More

We spent our final night on Vancouver Island here. The hotel is beautifully restored. The rooms are surprisingly roomy and well furnished. The bathrooms are fabulous and everything ahs a clean, fresh look. The staff are very nice. A hotel this nice in downtown Victoria at this price is an incredible bargain.

We found the Hotel Rialto through a Trivago search and then read the reviews on TA. I lived in Victoria for five years and worked downtown so I was aware of its location in reference to the activities that we were going to be doing. I thought it would be a great location as my husband does street photography and... More

This is an excellent hotel and choice while in Victoria. Great comfort, bed, clean very pleasant staff, great bar and breakfast. The location is worth the extra money. Only negative is the very slow wifi. If you are needing a decent connection you will be very disappointed. Yes, I'd stay there again.

Hi Cosmo, Thank you for your review, I'm happy to see that overall you were very pleased with your choice to stay with us. I was curious to learn about your concerns with our wifi as so many of our reviewers reference the high quality of the signal (we upgraded our system substantially about 2 years ago and over did...
