I arrived at the Dalton Inn & Suites late at night and was offered a choice of a boutique room or a standard and had a look at both. I picked the standard room as it was sufficient for my one night stay. The standard rooms are furnished with antique wood furniture and smaller room with windows that open.. The... more

I spend only 2 nights at this hotel for a very decent price $59.99/night. The location was great since it in the downtown area and the parking is for $10/night. The staff were friendly and check-in was quick. However, the room has very old and antique furniture. The wall wasn't really sound proof, people from the next room were talking... more

What a great find !! The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The Hotel itself was fantastic !! Our room was absolutely spotless, very comfortable with nice decor and we got a great price, above average service and a perfect location. Next time we are back in Victoria we will stay here again and of course will recommend it to... more

This was a great hotel. It was recommended by some friends and I really enjoyed my stay. I travel frequently and found this hotel very clean. This hotel offers great value and a wonderful location. We did not enjoy our stay at all. Severe lack of sleep due to something banging against the door all night (turns out someone had tried to fix this before but it didn't work). The tv didn't work properly, it made a whinning noise on every channel and we could therefore not watch it. Met someone at reception at 6:30am... more

A wide range of problems best summarized as general room cleanliness is far from acceptable, attitude of service staff to problems is confrontational at best and maintenance of the building is poor. A selection of the issues we had, room is small and not decorated to any sort of standard deserving of the price, lighting and multiple electrical outlets not... more

When you are paying very low rates for a hotel, you can't expect service or quality to match that of a four star hotel. No view and basic services are to be expected. This is what you will find at the Dalton. The room was clean and comfortable. It was small, but I have stayed at much smaller rooms in... more

The hotel isn't fancy and the website is a bit misleading but overall we didn't have any problems. The room was small but comfortable and had all of the basic hotel ammenities. I would compare this to staying at a Super 8 or a Motel 6. more

On the website this hotel looks wonderful. It is actually a horrid little place. Our room was tiny, just bid enough for the queen bed. The view was off office buildings. The porcelain had worn off the tub. The walls were faded and paint was chipped. The door had wood veneer hanging from it. The duvet cover was a cheap... more
