This place was far below expectations. It had stains on the walls and carpet. My room directly overlooked a commercial rooftop which belched fumes from vents. It was a LONG way from the downtown harbor area -- not centrally located as advertised. When i complained to the manager, he screamed profanity at me and waved a letter opener in a... more

We stayed at this HI for one night whilst touring Vancouver in early May 07. This is quite a large HI located out of the city centre, approximately 10 min drive and across from a large shopping complex. Check in was reasonably painless, though this is a very busy hotel. Our room was located out of the actual hotel in... more

We booked a room for 3 nights through Priceline. They were nice enough to check us in at 1:30 even though check-in was 3:00. The first problem occurred when the person on the desk ask for our credit card and apparently re-charged the entire amount that we'd already paid through Priceline. We straightened that out and he charged a smaller... more

I frequently stay in Victoria and on this rare occasion I was unable to find a room in town. I used priceline to find a hotel and was awarded the Holiday Inn at a price much higher than the holiday inn victoria charges. Okay, that is not the fault of Holiday Inn but just a head's up to you priceline... more

This location is good if you have a car to get to the local tourist sights. It has a large mall, banks & food within walking distance. The area is good and safe to walk at night. We were put in the "new executive tower" which was very nice and most importantly - clean. We ate in the restaurant in... more

On a short trip to Victoria for a holiday with a friend, and we needed a reasonably nice / inexpensive place to stay. When we checked in we found we were in the "executive tower" that was not accesible from the main building. There is a small unmarked door with one elevator to five floors of the tower. Took about... more

We staying in the Holiday Inn Victoria because we won a bid on Priceline for $89.00 a night. (When I was standing in line to check-in, the lady in front of me told the front desk clerk she had booked on Priceline, too, but her winning bid was $139.00 a night. I just stayed quiet and inwardly smiled.) We asked... more

Stayed here with my teenage daughter for three days while she searched for an apartment to rent in Victoria. We found the room to be extremely clean and quiet. We did not hear another guest for the three days we were there, which is very unusual being in a hotel on a busy long weekend. The beds were comfortable and... more

This is a fairly nice quality, nicely-run hotel, with friendly/helpful staff and nice rooms. There is nothing particularly unique about it, but we had no disappointments. The rooms are fairly good-sized, clean and tidy and pretty bright. The location is ok, about 2 miles from Inner Harbour - meaning too far to walk. The area is safe and quiet, but... more
