Upon arrival in our room I noticed that a really dirt towel ( by previous guests)was left behind the bathroom door and also the carpet under the beds had all kinds of garbage. I complained 3 times...they said they re vaccum the room but the garbage under the beds was still there. I asked the manager if vaccuing under the... more

We booked a three night stay here because I am a member of Holiday Inns Priority club and it was the only Holiday Inn available. My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversay and loved Victoria but didn't love the Holiday Inn. Our room was small compared to other HI/HI Express' we've stayed at. The blinds didn't keep any... more

I'm not a regular at Holiday Inns and I think I expected more from them. The room was clean enough but it was also very tired and dark (as was the bathroom). We had a balcony but this looked out on to the industrial/shopping complexes in the area and was in a poor condition. The staff were not particularly helpful... more

Stayed with spouse and teenager, so was given room with sofa bed, which was quite nice. Have stayed previously and would do so again. Quiet, clean, and not far from downtown, although room rate for this type of hotel, even in summer was bit on high side more

This hotel has a great location and the room was great - it was huge, clean, and was everything I expected from a Holiday Inn. But we were appalled at the restaurant (R-Viera). We went down for breakfast and sat for almost 15 minutes without even being offered a cup of coffee, and the place wasn't even remotely busy. My... more

This place was far below expectations. It had stains on the walls and carpet. My room directly overlooked a commercial rooftop which belched fumes from vents. It was a LONG way from the downtown harbor area -- not centrally located as advertised. When i complained to the manager, he screamed profanity at me and waved a letter opener in a... more

We stayed at this HI for one night whilst touring Vancouver in early May 07. This is quite a large HI located out of the city centre, approximately 10 min drive and across from a large shopping complex. Check in was reasonably painless, though this is a very busy hotel. Our room was located out of the actual hotel in... more

We booked a room for 3 nights through Priceline. They were nice enough to check us in at 1:30 even though check-in was 3:00. The first problem occurred when the person on the desk ask for our credit card and apparently re-charged the entire amount that we'd already paid through Priceline. We straightened that out and he charged a smaller... more

I frequently stay in Victoria and on this rare occasion I was unable to find a room in town. I used priceline to find a hotel and was awarded the Holiday Inn at a price much higher than the holiday inn victoria charges. Okay, that is not the fault of Holiday Inn but just a head's up to you priceline... more

This location is good if you have a car to get to the local tourist sights. It has a large mall, banks & food within walking distance. The area is good and safe to walk at night. We were put in the "new executive tower" which was very nice and most importantly - clean. We ate in the restaurant in... more
