First it's in the MOST gorgeous spot. Then the room was immaculate, the sheets were pressed to perfection and it was just lovely. You couldn't ask for lovlier grounds and surrounding area for walking, lunch or sight-seeing. Then there's the food - everything fresh and just amazing. This is the most nicely run B&B I've been in - very friendly... More

My daughter and I stayed two nights at the Haterleigh. It's a great bed and breakfast within easy walking distance of many of the sights in Victoria. Our hosts were great help in recommending places to visit. And the breakfasts were excellent!! More

We left the car in Port Angeles ($22 covered parking) and took the Victoria Express ferry to Victoria. After walking about Victoria and eating at Camille's (wow! what nice food!) we wandered back to Haterleigh for the evening. Haterleigh is about three blocks from the ferry, off the main street, in a residential area. It has a nice wide porch... More

The Haterleigh Heritage Inn is a lovely B&B in a quiet street but close - walking distance - to the center of Victoria and all it's touristic attractions. The room was spacious, the bathroom fantastic and the beds very comfortable. But the breakfast was superb!! What a pity we did not have time to stay longer than one night! Thank... More

I Cant say enough good things about this B&B. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and at home. Wonderful decor through out the house. Breakfast was also an experience. Paul, the owner will take great delight in concocting any breakfast wish you have.. All was first rate.. We would with a doubt reccomend the Haterleigh... More

We stayed at the Haterleigh in Mid January 2009 and had the best experience! From the great location (minutes from the city center), to the luxurious acommodations, everything was perfect. Paul and Elizabeth are outstanding hosts, and gave us the best advice about things to see and do, and where to eat. Having said that, we did not need lunch... More

We stayed for several days in the Kingston suite. I didn't pick this place, our companion couple did, and it isn't exactly to my taste (a little stuffy looking even on the website and expensive). The suite itself was great, but had one gaping flaw -- no doors or real barrier between the two bedrooms. In fact the way the... More

Beautiful and super-clean home. Not a warm and friendly place at all. Lots of rules about no shoes, specific times you are allowed in the common areas of the home, etc. Breakfast was good but not overabundant. Missing the "extras" such as no complimentary water or soda. It was available, but for an extra charge on an "honor" jar with... More

We made our vacation this year a trip to Canada and decided to focus our stays in B&B's so as to get a better feel for the areas that we visited. However, our experience here was very unexpectedly unpleasant. First--when we called while en route to confirm our stay, we found that we weren't expected until a day later. Luckily,... More

When a guest makes a reservation, we have a "one Write" system in our computer which automatically sends the guest a confirmation Email confirming the rate, the dates etc. We also verbally repeat the information before ending the phone call. In 15 years of operation we have had 2 guests show up on the wrong dates, and this was one... More

This was our third stay at the Haterleigh in the last 10 years. Paul is an amazing host, fantastic chef with original British wit and the wisdom of an entrenched community expert. Even if you're only passing through Victoria, your stay as his B&B will be a highlight of your journey and a reason to return. We have moved our... More
