Everything was good until breakfast.....check in very easy...got assistance with suitcases (had a lot of them, combined with a lot of steps!) Room was very nice (and clean)......bed was comfortable. Had (fresh) cookies late afternoon.....Cheese and wine after supper ( don't do either of those)...... In the morning, we got assistance again with suitcases (thank you) and then the only... More

I went back to Beaconsfield last week after 3 years, I am still marvel at this place, so romantic. The staff, wonderful people who make your stay and your Victoria visit great. I stay only 2 days, but all my stress is gone and now I like new person.

new management team and procedures since last visit--all bad -arrived 2:00 pm--our room was next to kitchen-sounded like a party --loud talk, gales of laughter--not the level of decorum we expected -my wife abhors runny egg yolks--this was specified on the online reservation form and in person to Arlan at check in--he promised to relay the info to the chef---at... The Beaconsfield Inn was so nice the last time we stayed there that we chose it as a destination for a small celebration for our 40th anniversary. It turned out to be a great choice. Not only was the room sumptuous, but the Inn itself gives you a sense of warmth. I should also mention Arland, the Inn keeper, who... More

The Beaconsfield Inn is a fabulous place for couples. The comfortable library available to guests is stocked with coffee and tea all day, freshly baked cookies in the afternoon, sherry in the evenings. Breakfasts are carefully put together, feature interesting main courses, fresh baking and fruit juice, and great coffee. The inn is a beautiful Edwardian house, full of antiques,... More

We stayed for two nights at the Beaconsfield Inn in The Hideaway room. The room was large and comfortable. Our room was on the main floor of the hotel, just past the kitchen. We heard no noise from the kitchen, but could hear lots of talking in the main hallway while we were trying to sleep. We spent most of... More

Booked this based on reviews but the property is between owners and it shows - everything just looked a bit tired and in need of some TLC. It must have been a wonderful place once upon a time but that was a while ago judging by the decor etc. The history of the place was most interesting but the gardens... More

We stayed here one night for our anniversary. It was very comfortable and quaint. The innkeeper was very friendly and helpful getting our dining reservations for the evening? We were within walking distance to the restaurant and the waterfront (Royal Museum, Empress Hotel, Legislative Buildings, Visitors Center). Enjoyed the English breakfast in the morning.

Due to a scheduling mixup with the ferry my wife and I arrived after 11:30 PM and Arland was there to greet us. We had a very long traveling day and he went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of us. The rooms and food were great as was the location. We had a wonderful trip... More

Just spent a night in the Duchess room at this beautiful property. The property and rooms were very attractive and comfortable, but as previously mentioned the gardens needed a bit of work. Sherry and Tea/Coffee available in the library, but no hot water when I went to make a cup of tea. Breakfast nice, but no choices. New manager polite... More
