I am the owner and although I submitted the proper closure request and received the confirmation email from Trip Advisor, the property still appears even though my owners' ID was deleted and I am unable to submit another form. As reviews are submitted for approval before posting, hopefully someone at Trip Advisor will see it and act accordingly. Thanks you.

We (the husband, myself and our Waffles) enjoyed our stay at Cougar's Crag. It was not hard to find the place at all, just pay attention on the GPS, then you will definitely get there. Yes, the room (house) is a bit dusty, and dog furs are somewhere, but we are animal people and owner, we understand it is not... More

What a treat to be able to include our three large dogs while staying on the Island for six days at Cougar's Crag. A path leading to the Galloping Goose trail borders the property. Best of all as far as our dogs were concerned was that they could be off leash on the pathways. The bedroom loft suite with kitchenette... More

My wife and I, and our Jack Russell, have stayed twice and will many times again. We've even given a stay here as a wedding gift to several couples. We've stayed in B&Bs in Canada, USA, UK (including England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland), Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand. Cougar's Crag is at the top for us.... My husband and I (and our dog, Olive) recently spent two nights at Cougar's Crag, and we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. Steve, our host, was so welcoming and friendly, not to mention a fabulous cook! Each morning he prepared a delicious feast, happy to cater to our diet (vegetarian). This was served in the main house where our dog... More

It is dirty, and the food is days old, but what upset me most is that the published pictures on the website gallery don’t show the suite one actually stays in. It is car drives away from everything, but therefore really quite at night. One positive thing: Complimentary laundry service.

I have had a lot of experiences staying at various bed and breakfasts, fro PEI to BC and hands down this was the worst. The room was filthy with dust bunnies hanging (swinging) off the walls, a thick layer of dust was present on most surfaces. The daybed for sitting and watching TV was definitely only appropriate for dogs. The... More

We’ve been lucky – we’re in our 10th season and this is the first bad review we’ve ever received. Because we haven’t had all that many guests in May and none of them gave any indication of being dissatisfied while they were here, through the process of elimination I was able to determine who the author is, and while I... We have stayed at Cougar's Crag twice now, both in springtime, and had an amazing stay both times. The room/suite is more like a loft apartment but rustic, with a small porch, great electric fireplace-type heater, couch/futon and tv with great dvds, and a small fridge/microwave/sink kitchen area. It is very clean. Steve is a great host, friendly and full... More

My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary weekend at Cougar's Crag. We could not have found a more perfect place. This B&B is by far the most dog friendly B&B we've ever found, but that did not take away from the quality of the place or attentiveness of Steve to make our stay as amazing as possible. The room... The place is a gem, and the owner Steve is incredibly generous and helpful. I ended up booking it while being in India, and not only Steve helped me with the booking process, and also recommended a fabulous restaurant for a romantic dinner in Sooke (as it was a getaway birthday celebration). The place welcomes dogs, and my/our puppy was... More
