This Motel isn't in the heart of the tourist attractions, but it's a 5 minute drive and well worth the stay. Every room has windows from floor to ceiling with a magnificent view of the water and snow-capped mountains of Washington State. Throw in a kitchen and supplies, free parking and wi-fi and a great restaurant in walking distance (opened... More

The Surf Motel sits across the street from the Juan de Fuca Strait and overlooks the iconic Ogden Point Breakwater. Every room faces the water. Our room was on the third floor (top floor) and we spent several warm evenings enjoying apres-dive drinks on our sunny deck. The room was clean and bright, the kitchen appliances (stove, oven, fridge) worked... More

The best thing about this hotel is the location. Waking up to the view of the Strait is awesome. I have stayed here in the past and the hotel could have used some updating. This has been done. The room was recently renovation in a retro theme. The room was big and comfy with a full kitchen and amenities, the... More

My husband and I enjoyed the 1950's-like feel of this privately-owned motel. We love that the current owner is the grandson of the first owner! Our room was very comfortable and clean. The view was less than we'd hoped for but that was totally due to the fog, NOT the room! The wall of windows facing the waterfront was quite... More

Stayed here on a number of occasions when visiting and it's always been a great experience. The location can't be beat. We can walk everywhere we want to go in the city and love the fantastic view from the balcony. The rooms are clean and comfortable and having a fully stocked kitchenette is a great bonus. We'll be back.

Good value motel right on Dallas road - seriously, what a view! Large rooms, comfy beds. Senior's rates! Kitchenettes. Drift back to the early 60's...... Very friendly helpful staff. Downside: bit noisy being on a main thoroughfare. Also, walls are pretty thin.

I have stayed here several times over the years, and I always look forward to it. The rooms are absolutely spotless, and of course the view is stunning. Though it's very pleasant to stay in the summer when the weather is fine, the off season is really my favourite. During our recent stay, we awoke one morning to thick fog... More

We stayed for two nights on the top floor corner right near the motel sign in a big room with a kingsize bed, a kitchenette with everything we could want to prepare a meal. The bathroom still has it's pink and black tiles but was spotless along with everything else. Yes, Dallas Rd is noisy with cars and buses, yes... More

I really can't improve on the lengthy, detailed and enthusiastic review by Foodyguru. My girlfriend and I stayed here for "one night" after an Alaskan cruise. We liked it so much we stayed 3 nights and would have stayed longer, but we were already on day 32 of a 36 day road trip and needed to get back to So.... More

The one big thing this place has is location, location, location. You have a wonderful view of the Olympic mountains across the strait, the cruise ships coming and going and the upgraded breakwater. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable but need some updating. It is time for new balcony windows/doors. It is time to redo the... More
