My long-term partner and I arrived in Victoria after a 26 hour flight Melbourne-LA-Vancouver- Victoria prior to heading off to Port Hardy a couple of days later. We were in need of intensive rest after this journey and this is one of the reasons we selected Victoria to stay in as first our first stop in Canada (We didn't expect much).
Victoria is a nice small city. The BC museum is a good attraction and the small harbour is a beautiful precinct featuring the Empress Hotel and the Parliament Buildings. The inn is close to all.
Beacon Hill Park has some beautiful parts and is right across the road.
Large Rooms upstairs, small on ground floor.
Catwalk balcony out the front and no lift.
We were fortunate enough to have our rooms changed during our stay. We started on the ground floor and the noise from the road was loud. The top floor room was larger and quieter.
