OMG! Every summer between late July and into late September, albacore tuna show up 12 to 35 miles offshore from Rugged Point Lodge . While the dates are exact, the best tuna fishing usually occurs between the last week of August and the first two weeks of September, weather permitting. Matt and Kristy Guiguet are about the only operators on... More

What a trip! The lodge was magnificent, comfortable, and the food was excellent. The boats were well equipped and our guides were professional and very good at their craft. We managed to catch our limits, despite rough water. I had such an enjoyable trip and can't wait to get back there. Every meal of the fish I caught will only bring... More

We had a truly superb trip to Kyuquot/Rugged Point Lodge. My expectations were really high going in. Matt and crew exceeded those on every level. I cannot overstate my satisfaction in the quality of the fishing, accomodations, food, surroundings. We'll return.

We had a great 2 and half days at the Fishing Kyuquot Lodge. We fished King Salmon, Coho and Halibut. The Kings were in the 15 to 28 pound range. During that time we went out with 2 different guides. Both made you feel welcome and were extremely skilled and helpful. Their boats and equipment are modern and well maintained.... More

I spent four days in July staying at Rugged Point Lodge and Fishing Kyuquot Sound with the owner Matt Guiget. The accommodations were very nice considering the remoteness of the operation and the service (including the dining) was top notch. The fishing platform and equipment was also first rate, and there was no shortage of large salmon and halibut. The... More

Matt and Kristy provide some of the best guided fishing on the entire BC coast. Their roomy Grady White fishing machines are really comfortable and we felt really secure out in the open Pacific Ocean, even during the roughest of days. Top-notch fishing gear will make sure you land your catch. Fishing...absolutely fabulous in one of the most productive places... More

Breath taking beauty in unspoiled wilderness. Whales, otters, birds and animals. Fly fishing for coho was excellent. With hard fighting salmon between 10 and 17 lbs. Matt, Kristy and staff were wonderful hosts. Great food and superb lodgings. We have booked again for 2013 and can't wait. I have travelled the world in search for adventure and rate this as one of... More

I've been all over the world and all around BC fishing for the last 20 years and I can say I will always return to see Matt and Christy at fishing Kyuquot. The facilities, food and incredible fishing is the best i'v experienced. The boats, gear, dock staff andguides are unparallelled. This is the best place to fish in BC.
