Very basic, felt like I was at school again It was way too hot in the rooms and a fan wasn't provided either, which I have always been given in other hostels. The showers are also see through which is a terrible design flaw. Overall the stay was alright I really liked the free breakfast as well as the downstairs... More

The only good thing about this hostel is the location. You can walk everywhere or just rent a bike. No public transport needed. But the rooms and common areas are too old. Beside that it was ok, it was clean.

Bathrooms are well-maintained and pleasant. Excellent shower pressure and enough hot water for a satisfying rinse, but the stalls are VERY tight for space. Bring flip flops! Rooms are also tight. (4 person). Lots of squeezing and stepping over suitcases. I would highly suggest earplugs and a mask at night. The music from the bar downstairs shook the walls until... More

I stayed here in summer, the rooms are pretty hot, no real airflow which was quite unpleasant some nights. There is a bar downstairs which is fun but as others have mentioned, it is noisy in the rooms, even in the rooms that are not overlooking the beer garden. Location is good. Wifi is a joke. Free breakfast is a... More

Stayed here for 6 nights non-consecutively while in Canada. Good points include: it's very close to everywhere you need to be. Just up the road from Gastown (with the Steam clock straight down the road), the ferry port, the railway station and plenty of bars, restaurants and takeaways. The beds are much larger than single bunks, and are always clean... More

We have chosen this Hostel in order to be in Downtown Vancouver. location of the Hostel is absolutely great. Everything else not that much. We arrived early in the morning and we managed to leave our bag in the Hostel. Hostel has bar/restaurant on site with decent food quality but bartenders act stupid when you ask them something. Front Desk... More

Stayed here in September 2014. Was told over the phone when booking that we would be allowed to check in 1 hour early and that there was parking next door and we would be given a parking code. Upon arriving I was met with an EXCEPTIONALLY rude receptionist who completely ignored me a solid ten minutes while he kept answering... More

Unfortunately downtown Vancouver is not a friendly place to stay for backpackers as everywhere is so expensive! My partner and I were very disappointed when staying here. The only pros that I can think of is the location. It's right in Gastown and good distance to transport. The cons is a long list- Price - over $30 each for a... More
