I stayed here in summer, the rooms are pretty hot, no real airflow which was quite unpleasant some nights. There is a bar downstairs which is fun but as others have mentioned, it is noisy in the rooms, even in the rooms that are not overlooking the beer garden. Location is good. Wifi is a joke. Free breakfast is a... More

Stayed here for 6 nights non-consecutively while in Canada. Good points include: it's very close to everywhere you need to be. Just up the road from Gastown (with the Steam clock straight down the road), the ferry port, the railway station and plenty of bars, restaurants and takeaways. The beds are much larger than single bunks, and are always clean... More

We have chosen this Hostel in order to be in Downtown Vancouver. location of the Hostel is absolutely great. Everything else not that much. We arrived early in the morning and we managed to leave our bag in the Hostel. Hostel has bar/restaurant on site with decent food quality but bartenders act stupid when you ask them something. Front Desk... More

Stayed here in September 2014. Was told over the phone when booking that we would be allowed to check in 1 hour early and that there was parking next door and we would be given a parking code. Upon arriving I was met with an EXCEPTIONALLY rude receptionist who completely ignored me a solid ten minutes while he kept answering... More

Unfortunately downtown Vancouver is not a friendly place to stay for backpackers as everywhere is so expensive! My partner and I were very disappointed when staying here. The only pros that I can think of is the location. It's right in Gastown and good distance to transport. The cons is a long list- Price - over $30 each for a... More

This hostel is quite accessible by sky train from the airport and is in the heart of the Downtown. The Big bus ,hop on hop off tours start from near this hostel. Basically this is a very old hostel mostly visited bu students. The toilets are poorly maintained .The hostel is attached to a pub and there is a lot of noise.

I will never stay here again. It's 1.30AM and the relentless doof from the music downstairs is vibrating my bed. The people in the pub are rowdy and when someone walks / runs down the corridor, the floor shakes. It doesn't feel like a stable building. I feel like there's a massive party all around and I can't shut it... More

We had a double room which was on the second floor and proved very spartan. No cooking facilities on the floor. The shower was fine if you like showering in a broom cupboard - hardly enough room to turn around and no place to hang clothes, towel, etc. Whilst well located, you have to expect it to be noisy and...
