First off, I found the staff to be great - always happy to answer any questions and accomodating. I stayed here thurs - sunday and got barely any sleep. The pub downstairs is open until 2am with a dj, then people seem to hang out on the street drunk and screaming until about 4am. I quite seriously did not get... More

This was a cheap place to stay in downtown Vancouver. It has a good location and Malones bar below is good but during the summer they leave all the windows and doors (of which there are many!) open and so it's very very noisy until 2am. We were on a holiday so it didn't matter too much but don't stay... More

I stayed here for 1 night and was absolutely attacked by bed bugs! And its only a small detail but the men's bathrooms werent even on my floor! It has decent service and location, but the bed bugs are a deal-breaker for me sorry.

Great staff, very helpful, friendly, they let me stay for an extended time. I got it together at this place and ended up living in vancouver for awhile. These folks will help a weary traveler for sure and the muffins were good.

My husband and I just had a short stay in Vancouver and needed somewhere cheap and comfortable to stay the night. Here are the pros and cons to this hostel. A hostel offering a two bed dorm is a rare experience, so it was a blessing that I found this place. Some of the staff are very friendly, but all of them are helpful. The breakfast muffins are huge. Not the best accommodation, but by no means the worst. Excellent location, you can walk to the fun parts of Vancouver.

Room is small for two. My roommate says it was just like staying in a prison. The prison don't have a heater, so it was quite cold. Luckily we asked the reception to provide us a radiator which it did. The light was very dim. And the bunk bed squeak a lot. There is no proper locker for storage except... More
