i stayed there for 1 week. i think the price is fair. the staff, they're ok, they're helpful, nice. just make sure you don't walk toward main or hasting st. (homeless drugaddicts...), keep walking toward gastown, and it's so gorgeous. an old building, the kitchen isn't clean, but you can cook and eat... good location. more

This Hostel is cheap. Its in an excellent location. The internet connection was not very good, often non existent. It seems as though it hasn't been decorated since it was built 30 years ago, however the friendly house staff do their best to keep it clean. My experience was that the manager was actually quite helpful. But the building is really old, the room I stayed at was patched left and right. very old bedding/sheet. The location of the hotel is very close to Gastown and a spaghetti factory restaurant, seems very safe. a couple of street over (Hasting and Main St?) had lot of homeless... more
