Our 5 night stay at The Corkscrew Inn was a delight. The Inn is a visual feast, with stained glass windows throughout, lovely new bathrooms and comfortable rooms. We were totally spoiled by our host, Karen. We visit Vancouver a few times a year, and will never stay anywhere else now that we have found the Inn!

location was perfectly located between UBC and downtown. Karen was a great host and gave us valuable directions to city sites as well as super breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable. Can't think of a think to change.

The Corkscrew Inn is located in a wonderful neighborhood in Kitsilano and is close to the beach and lots to see and do. The house has a lovely garden setting and is beautifully remodeled but was a disappointment beginning the moment my daughter (who lives 8 blocks away), my grandaughter and I stepped across the threshold and were "greeted" by... We never want a guest to leave disappointed, and there are seldom problems that good communication can’t solve. From our web site: “Sound travels in a heritage house; we appreciate your cooperation in not wearing boots or heavy-soled shoes on the main and upper floors. We'll give you slippers!” Your review quotes our web site guidelines for breakfast time; however,... More

We had three nights here a few weeks ago. Karen was super helpful with local knowledge. The style of the place is very tranquil and the breakfasts are great. Our room was spotless. This is also a great area to stay in when visiting Vancouver. We would definitely recommend this place.

Behind the interesting building and decor is a very professionally run place. Everything has been well thought out and targeted at the tourist. Most B&Bs are large converted houses so sometimes compromises have to be made. The Corkscrew is purpose built to modern standards. (See the build history in the lounge) Karen and Wayne make a great team with plenty... More

We came to Corscrew Inn for two sort stays while our daughter has joined UBC University. Karen is very nice. Rooms are very nice, breakfast delicious, especially omelette. No problem for parking, very calm area and close to beach and bus. Good spot!

My husband and I recently stayed 3 nights at the Corkscrew Inn while we were visiting Vancouver. This is a very clean, charming old craftsman style house that was completely refurbished and with the theme of corkscrews, there are hints of them everywhere (in the stained glass windows, shadow boxes on the walls, bathrobes, etc.). Wayne was the perfect host... More

We spent 3 nights here in Vancouver. Great location near university and other tourist attractions. The host, Wayne was charming and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were interesting and always different and a surprise, which pleased my wife, but not those who like a traditional "English Breakfast". This B&B will appeal to those wanting to experience in... More

Screens are coming! Mosquitoes are so rarely a problem in Vancouver that we have never felt the need to install window screens. But we will take your suggestion, and you will find at least one screened window or door in every guest room next spring (if not sooner). When looking for parking on your next visit, remember that the space... More

We stayed at the Corkscrew Inn for 3 nights a couple of weeks ago and had an amazing time. Karen made us feel at home straightaway: she is very friendly and keen to share all the great things to do around Vancouver and she cooks a DELICIOUS breakfast! The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The Inn is located... More
