You get a free breakfast, free daily tours and it is in a central location. I do not think you can ask for any more at this price. The atmosphere is friendly and is a brilliant hub for moving around the city.

Stayed at the SameSun for two nights in sept last year after being in Seattle for a month and, having always wanted to visit Vancouver, I Greyhounded it up and had a weekend there. SameSun was great- the staff were friendly upon arrival and the hostel was buzzing with life. Room was tiny but clean and acceptable. The bar downstairs...

I didn't particularly like this hostel, I stayed in a 6 bed dorm and it was far too squashed, really there should have only been 4 beds in the room, and even with 4 it'd have been cramped. I booked a 'co-ed' dorm room and ended up in a dorm room with 5 males (I'm a girl). I found the...

We stayed here for 6 nights in March 2012 and stayed in a double room. The room we were given had a double bunk bed in it. This made watching the TV in the room very hard. Our room was directly opposite the female bathroom which meant that it was noisey all threw the night with people drying their hair....

stayed for 1 week in a private room. room was ok for a couple with TV and fridge but for $490 a week i would expect this. The room was at the rear of the hostel so noise wasn't an issue at all. Bathrooms very very dated and small but sowers where ok and would not use the kitchen (filthy)....

Price wise it was alright. Great location breakfast included, nice bar downstairs, and helpful staff. On Granville street close to many great restaurants, cheap eats and bars.
The rooms were quite small and found the bathrooms to be very old and not too clean. The place was a little noisy but nothing too bad.
Most of the people staying here...

I stayed for 3 nights and over all it was OK. The location is great for visiting downtown, right in the main street, Granville. However, if you get an exterior room (which I did) it's incredibly noisy at night. It's a busy area at night. Otherwise the rooms are OK and clean enough, but the bathrooms were very annoyingly dirty...

pros: perfectly located, extremely accessible. right in the heart of the CBD, walking distance to granville island and markets, bus stops right outside the door, skytrain and canada line station just 4 blocks away, YMCA just 3 blocks away, countless restaurants and coffeeshops, and anything else you'd need. the hostel has weekly movie nights, and can do their best on...

I've been lucky enough to stay at the Samesun Vancouver a few times, its a great place and the Beaver Bar downstairs has great cheap eats and drinks and its a great place to meet fellow traveler's. What's even better is its a nice easy stroll into the heart of the city. Check out more my review at http://insydetravel.info/city-guide-vancouver-canada/
Our stay in the hostel itself was pretty good, no complaints.
It sucked that the hostel was full when we tried to book a second night, but that was our fault.
The BAR was amazing. Even after we checked out, we still came back here at night to hang out.
By the second night the waitresses knew our names and...
