The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Showers and toliets are fine also BUT! the location is poor and the atmosphere sucks!!! never have I been in a hostel that has no social connection with anybody at all. Everybody just looks and seems miserable.Hobos are everywhere pestering for money and cigs and be carefull leaving the hostel on sundown, the... More

Clean, comfortable,casual....yet still professional. You provided a haven for me so unexpectedly. Lovely homey atmosphere and friendly.

I actually stayed her for 4 LONG months from noviember to february. I was looking for work and university in Vancouver at the time. I guess that is the slow season there, and they rent beds to anyone who can pay the price, including drug dealers/users, prostitutes, and all kinds of down & out down riff raft. they have 2... More

I have done my fair share of travelling and staying in hostels in Canada and Internationally, and this is by far the worst hostel I have ever stayed at. It was a bit cheaper than other hostels in Vancouver, but it was SO not worth saving a few bucks for. There was a sink in my room and there were... More

I stayed here in Jan 2011 because it was the cheapest hostel in Vancouver. To be honest for only $20 a night it was pretty good but if I had paid any more I would have been very disappointed. The worst part of it are the rooms. The bunks are noisey and the rooms are dirty but ill give a... More

My girlfriend wasn't sure about staying here, but because we were trying to save money and wanted an hostel with a kitchen I persuaded her to stay here. At first the hostel seems ok, the communal area when we first arrive up the stairs seemed good, the receptionist gave us loads of useful information about Vancouver and I thought my... More

Okay let me tell you first that my boyfriend and I are young people who arnt really picky and understand that you get what you pay for so we knew the place wasnt gonna be highclass, or very attractive but what we didnt want to pay for is bed bugs. and the hotel is constantly trying to fight them. they... I stayed in this hostel for 3 weeks and it was a pretty easy stay. The staff are friendly and very helpful with any questions, the hostel was always clean and being cleaned. If you are a walker like I am, it only takes 20min to get to Downtown Granville st and 25min to Davie st, there are also buses... More

We booked a private room, and it was a great place for what we needed. What we needed was a safe place to store our stuff during the day & to sleep at night, and a kitchen to cook some food at night. The location is good and bad, the good that it is a 5 minute walk from the... More

We booked online, website looked fine and there aren't too many budget options in Vancouver. However, we checked out first thing and moved into a hotel after having spent the night in a tiny, cell-like room, opposite the massive washing machines. The sink was disgusting, full of rust, bunk bed mattresses just dusty (the lower bed had to face the... More
