I went to stay one night at the Opus hotel while waiting for the rest of our travel party to arrive in the city. We were forewarned about the construction occurring beside the hotel for the Olympics, and had requested a room on the side of the hotel away from the noise. Not only did the hotel do a great... more

Stayed here when we escaped from a B&B in town. Great hotel, new, upscale and modern. The rooms are small, we ended up going into a larger room due to this. The lounge is fun and the area is great. The have all amenities I like in a hotel. more

Really liked the Opus, aside from all the construction that it seems to be situated right in the middle of. Hotel is nice - rooms are very comfortable. Aside from the construction noise which starts around 6:30 AM, the only other downside for me was their early 90's Internet policy. $18 per day for Internet service in your room! If... more

Staying at the Opus is a great way to pamper yourself for the weekend. The rooms have a warm and romantic decor, and the location is perfect (great little neighbourhood to explore). The staff are very helpful and professional and the lounge downstairs is a great place to have a drink (the martinis are fantastic). My husband and I visit... more

My wife and I spent a weekend getaway at the Opus with our two small doggies (a miniature Schnauzer and a small terrier mutt). We had stayed there once about 3 years ago and still remembered it fondly... we'd been looking forward to this visit for several weeks. The Opus didn't dissapoint. It's an exteremly stylish boutique hotel in one... more

For the last 3 years, I've spent more time in hotel rooms than I have in my own bed. That being said, no other hotel I've visited during my recent travels has impressed me more than Opus in Vancouver. Whether traveling for business or pleasure, the comforts and ambiance of Opus are not only appealing, they're incredibly welcoming...in a uniquely... more

Have stayed at the Opus previously and really enjoyed our stay which is why we decided to return again this time in Vancouver. The only complaint I have, is that the room was above the bar area, which, on a Friday night became quite boisterous and loud as the night wore on. Other than that, love the funkiness of the... more

We arrived at the Opus on Christmas eve. Not surprisingly, the hotel was pretty empty. This worked in our favor as we were instantly upgraded to a studio suite. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable - even to the point of making calls to and compiling a list of restaurants around town that were open... more

I spent a night at the Opus recently and was looking forward to it as I have had several friends and collegues recommend it. My expectations were high and I was not disappointed. As a business traveller I see my fair share of hotels and after a while, even the best ones seem homogenized. So it was to my great... more
