My husband and I stayed at the sandman for 2 nights as a stop over before traveling to whistler. On checkin the staff were not overly friendly. The room was ok, we were happy with the king size bed. The bathroom was tiny, but did the job. There was no safe in the room which we weren't happy about. We... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and loved it! The room had a full kitchen, washing machine, dryer, and amazing views of downtown Vancouver. The rooftop pool was great along with the location of this hotel. It is located on Davie St in the heart of the city. Cab rides were cheap but we mostly walked to... More

The room was bright and clean and modern. The view was nice, looking out on BC Place The staff was very friendly and helpful. Having Moxie's right there was a plus even if the prices were on the high side. The SPA was being serviced and so was out of use, we really wanted to use it. The elevator from... More

We stay here a lot when we go to concerts or sporting events. We came to watch a hockey game this time and found it very noisy and hard to sleep. The room we had was very small this time. I wouldn't recommend the queen size room, I was almost klosterphobic

Each time family comes to visit me this is where they stay. And then I used them to house family for my wedding last year, even used it to get ready before the wedding. The staff are amazing and do everything any high end hotel would do for you. The rooms are standard but always good. And the location is... More

This hotel was alright. Nice and close to the arena for a Canucks game which was great for us. We're not told whirlpool down and the indoor pool was freezing which was a disappointment as we would have booked somewhere else with a working hot tub and better pool. TV movie options not working at all so when we wanted... More

This hotel is in good location for Sports Events in Vancouver. Next to Rogers Arena and BC Place. The Good: - Location Close to Sports Events and Robson St and party area - The price is not bad for the location - There are lots of food places near by - Have a car rental desk in the lobby -... The location is great if you are going to a Canucks game or anything nearby. We stayed there in early December. Just a few block walk to the game, plus we went to Cirque Du Soleil the night before, which was convenient. The parking garage is not in the best of shape. Very narrow and garbage and empty paint cans... More

Stayed here to go to a Canucks game last season, and loved it. It was an extremely busy weekend in Vancouver for some reason, we had originally booked only for one night (the Saturday) after having a hard time finding a room downtown, but when I called last minute to get an extended stay (to include Friday night), they worked... Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
