The hotel was chosen for its location during a family gathering. For a tourist to Vancouver this is probably not the hotel or location for you in my opinion, though if you choose to drive around, have a car, and on a budget then maybe. The area is residential and the Sky Train is at least 20mins walk to the... more

A 'no smoking' sign on the door made me happy...until i opened it and smelled the reek of cigarettes that had permeated through the door cracks from the ash tray less than a few meters from our door. I asked them to remove it, but that didn't remove the stench that was obviously going to remain from all the people... more

Dear Guest, I much regret hearing that your stay was anything less than satisfying. We have looked into the matter and found that the smell of smoke on occasion due to the wind conditions can flow unkindly. I would like to apologies for any inconvenience that my have caused you. We hope you understand and thank you for your feedback...

Both rooms had a bad smell and so did the bedding. The bedding was old and worn, the pillows.beds lumpy and uncomfortable. You had to manouver onto the toilet to be sure you didnt get hurt by the sharp protruding sink top. There was no inclusive breakfast as advertised, they offered you to go to MacDonalds, there was no lift... more

I would not reccommend that you stay any longer than 1 night but if you must no longer than 2, this is a place that is ok to get your head down for a night and thats it. Plus points: Great shower - very powerful and plenty of room. Room was resonably clean. Good location on Kingsway with number #19... more

Although we arrived well before check in, the staff did allow us to leave our luggage at the front desk. We had booked two smoking rooms with Queen Beds for two ngihts. We were traveling with two grown children (23 and 24 years old). Check in was at 3:00 pm. When we arrived at 4:00 pm we were told that... more

Was a little apprehensive with some of the reviews but was very happy with our stay. Close to sky train and bus runs by front door. Staff recommended restaurant across the street which was great. Felt it was a very good value without the high parking fees being closer to city center. Good free breakfast. more

We enjoyed our stay at Days Inn Vancouver Metro until our car was broken into as we were checking out at 8:00 AM. The parking lot has access from a local street and has no fences or barriers to prevent entry from theives. The Motel has a sign in the lot and cameras, but no recording device to allow any... more

This hotel is lovely; I can't imagine why people are slating it. The staff are friendly and rooms have refrigerators and microwaves. Not much nearby but buses pass the hotel frequently to downtown. Also about 10 blocks left of the hotel is a lovely restaurant called Bino's which opens late. more

I booked my trip through Expedia and it was not cheap. I stayed with my wife and 2 years old son. The room looked very depressing in colors, furniture and window coverings. The bed sheets looked old and worn out and mattress springs were uncomfortable. We could not sleep for two nights because our room was facing the main road... more

I make a reservation for three night on internet. The web was not clear and they take my money in advance. The room that they reserved to us was on the main street with a dirty carpet. When we open the sofa under this there was a lot of peanuts and other food not definible. The bed linen was dirty... more
