We stayed here to go the boat show at BC Place. The room was beautifully clean, and really comfortable beds. The view is nothing to speak of, but I liked it. I love Vancouver and as long as I could see it I was happy. It's a great spot to walk around town, and is close to our old stomping... More

When we arrived we were told we would have a room with 2 queen beds, and when we asked for a room with a king bed we were given a lovely room that is actually a suite, huge with 2 TVs, sofa, easy chairs, desk, lots of dressers etc. The only curious thing is that the bathroom is tiny, although... Stayed several nights in late Dec 2015 on separate occasions.Hotel is currently in the process of renovating and upgrading its rooms. Opportunity to experienced both the renovated and the not yet renovated rooms which was definitely rundown but the upgraded rooms were a delight and awesome The room was spacious and almost equivalent to a suite room minus the price... From check-in to check-out everyone treated us well. If we had questions about which directions to take, someone had an answer for us. Signs were posted about renovations going on, but we did not hear any noise from this. The hotel is a easy walk from the Canada Line station. Also you can walk easily to the mall, water bus... More

Attended a work conference this weekend. There were mice running around the conference room from under the buffet tables! Staff said they've never seen mice there but had the stuff ready to deal with right away. Couldn't eat anything else there the rest of the conference! SO GROSS!!!

We stayed at Holiday Inn on way back to Australia for a couple of nights. It included leaving our luggage there for one night for free - so we could fly via sea plane to Victoria for a night. Staff where very helpful and friendly and although hotel was going through (a needed cosmetic) renovation it did not disrupt us... More

This hotel is located in downtown van-city. If you're looking for a hotel that is close to the night life, then this is where you would want to stay. The down side to this hotel is are the staff at the concierge desk. The gentleman was pretty rude when I had asked if he could give me directions. However, the... More

The staff were friendly and helpful. Good location in downtown Vancouver. The beds were comfortable- nice pillows and linens. The bathroom was tiny, but had a good shower. The gym was clean and had what we needed for a good workout. This is definitely not a luxury hotel but is good for a few nights!

This hotel is in a great location downtown. The amenities are good but the hotel is currently under renovation. We were not informed at time of reservation about this. I traveled to Vancouver alone in September and stayed at the Holiday Inn on Howe Street for two nights. I was originally going to stay in a hostel, but due to feeling under the weather on the flight over, I booked here on Booking.com and most likely paid the rack rate ($700 AUD for two nights..!). It was not worth... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
