Having travelled across Canada from Sydney, Australia we came upon the Manor Guest House after a few phone calls when we arrived in Vancouver. Seeing that there were three of us it's sometimes difficult to find affordable accommodations but the gentleman who answered the phone was quick to give us a reasonable rate for 3 nights in Vancouver and only... I stayed at the Manor guest house in August and it was great. I arrived late and was greeted by one of the resident staff members who helped with my bags and brought me to my lovely suit on the main floor. It had a private bath and a king sized bed. I was told breakfast was at 8:30 but... More

After much research online I chose this B&B based on its website and photos of its rooms as well as its location. I needed to be close to the downtown area as my son was performing in a theater there. I requested a room for 10 days at C$115 per night by email and was given a queen size room... More

Too many steps to carry luggage up. No ramps and no protection from the weather to access breakfast facility. Could do with block out curtains. No privacy blinds/drapes for daytime. Incomplete projects in room e.g tiles still not completed around toilet, towel rail was on floor when we arrived and remained there on the floor 4 days later when we left,... More

I stayed here with my family in one of the larger suites for just over 2 weeks. We were informed that it was a new suite and we were the first to stay there. This became apparent by the visible sockets sticking out of the walls, lack of kitchen utensils, pots, pans, glasses and the fact that while we were... More

We had a pleasant stay here, the rooms are quirky and the location is great. We managed to walk to lots of places. The breakfasts were great and David was very helpful and friendly. It's clean and roomy (we had the penthouse) and as we don't like to stay in large impersonal places it suited us fine.

I was here for two nights during the Olympics. When I arrived, I was greeted by Jason the Chef. He went and got David, who was very friendly and helfpful. I was working to a tight schedule, and he came and helped me promptly to my room. I was actually staying in the adjacent building to the original manor guest... More

I only read the previous reviews after arriving, and I'm sorry to say that the poor reviews of the service are accurate. The manager was alright - accommodating but grudgingly it seems. Making a profit seemed to be the most important thing here - granted, we were here for the Olympics, but the mark up was outrageous given the poor... More

We did lots of research to find a special accommodation while vising Vancouver. We decided to stay here because our party of 6 could stay in the "penthouse" and have a view of downtown. We were told we would have 4 beds. We arrived and the rude and harsh owner told us we had been "upgraded" to a house down... More

We booked the Manor House on line after talking with the owner. We reserved the Penthouse suite. In this suite we were to have a loft with a queen bed, a private bedroom with a queen, a pullout queen bed, and a king bed in the main sleeping area. With this came a large bathroom, sitting area, kitchen, and roof... More
