We stay at Barclay house every time we visit Vancouver and we never miss our national day on July 1st. It's a five year annual ritual and this year is no exception. We continue to choose Barclay House because of its charm, comfort, price and location which is so central that we don't have to drive anywhere. We can walk... More

We loved our three night stay here at the end of a three week road trip. In a quiet residential road but within easy walking distance of Stanley Park and the delights of central Vancouver. Charming, hard-working staff, lovely breakfasts, peaceful, well-furnished room (The Beach), delightfully designed house and we took the opportunity to sit on the verandah and chill.... More

The Barclay is everything a B and B should be - gracious Victorian home, nicely appointed and well maintained with a welcoming host and staff. The location couldn't be better, two blocks off the main drag of one of the best walking/trendy areas of Vancouver. You can walk to the park and back and hope to burn enough calories to... More

When the U.S. comes to play soccer it's hard to find a reasonable hotel room. So this was perfect! Centrally located near Robson St. Walk to Stanley Park. Walk to stadium. Lots of restaurants and shopping. Home is lovely. Really nice yard to sit and read and relax - except at night when the skunk pays you a visit! Be... More

Cozy, posh b&b in a great location. We stayed two nights in Haidaway room, and no regrets. Garden patio steps from our room. Jacuzzi for two. Good wifi reception. Cookies left in the room daily by housekeeping. Details like this made the experience not just good, but excellent. Breakfast delicious. We did not see the owner Dennis much, he did... More

Andrea Bocelli concert brought us to Vancouver from Vancouver Island! We wanted to find a romantic little place to stay for this special visit to the big city. The Barclay House B&B was the perfect pick for us. We will recommend it for many reasons. The owner Dennis has created a real gem with this West End heritage house. The... More

We returned again to Barclay House for a wonderful stay, this time in The Forest Room. We have also stayed in The Peak Room, The Mountain Room, and the Haidaway Suite. They are all perfect in their own way, We have felt very comfortable in each one, and would not hesitate to stay again in any of them, The breakfasts... More

We loved this bed and breakfast. Rooms are spacious, clean, pretty and have great views. The place is nestled in a gorgeous neighborhood. Easy walk to downtown or into Stanley park. Stanley park was great. A forest just a few minutes away. We could not believe it. The breakfast was great. And our room had a small fridge. Water, coffee... More

A great place to stay made extra nice by Dennis your host. Ask him for restaurant recommendations. Waking distance to Robson Street where there are many ethnic restaurants and shopping. Comfortable rooms with great beds. Eggs Benedict with salmon for breakfast was exceptional. Would definitely stay here again.

Dennis is warm and welcoming and the house is in a great neighbourhood and is a classic turn on the 20th century house. Rooms are all different and have their own charm. Two suites are on the ground level (great for anyone with mobility issues) the remainder are on the 2nd floor with the Peak Suite being in the attic.... More
