Bernie + Peter were extremely gracious and accommodating hosts - they have created a relaxing atmosphere and have really thought of everything to make guests feel at ease. Comfortable beds, the most amazing breakfast... and best of all they really welcomed our two dogs (beds, biscuits, water dishes, gift certificate for treats) which really eased things for us after a... more
We (my husband, two kitties, and I) enjoyed our stay at the Pacific Spirit Guest House very much; our hosts, Bernadette and Peter, were very pet friendly (they even cat-sat for a few hours so we could attend a benefit party), the bed was comfy and more than big enough to accomodate us all, and the breakfasts were gourmet! We... more
A great place if you are in Vancouver with dogs. Right next to a huge park with off-leash trails. Bernie and Peter, who run the B&B, are very cool with dogs, make a great breakfast with organic foods and excellent savory dishes. Highly recommended. more
My 2 sisters and I enjoyed a 2 day getaway in Vancouver, BC. A highlight of the trip was our "sleepover" at the Pacific Spirit Guest House. The house was easy to find in a lovely neighborhood on the East Side. Our hosts were gracious, warm and knowledgeable. The rooms and beds are most comfy! Usually it takes a while... more
We stayed only one night at this B&B, but our experience made us wish we could have stayed for several days. We were looking for a quiet haven during a hectic visit to the City and we found it. Bernadette graciously welcomed us and made us immediately feel 'at home'. Our lovely room was beautifully appointed with many personal touches... more
It was our first time at a B&B and I must say this one exceeded our expectations. I was very impressed with the attention to detail (from cleanliness, amenities, city information to breakfasts) that made our 3-night stay very enjoyable. The owners were extremely kind to accomodate our two large dogs, something that you won't find at other hotels or... more
Very friendly hosts who really care about their guests. Lots of nice details that make your stay comfortable (eg guest fridge & picnic equipment provided). Bernadette prepares about 15 different breakfasts; unfortunately, we stayed only two nights and thus could only enjoy two of them --> but these were the best we had during our three week trip to Canada. more
Loved the whole experience. Bernadette was a superb hostess and her breakfasts were fantastic. Also loved the BIG fluffy towels - best on our 7-week trip thru Canada and the US. Wish all establishments would follow her example. Bernadette also found a restaurant for us which served Alaskan King Crab Legs and she couldn't have been more helpful with information... more
The B&B is within walking distance of the Pacific Spirit park and a short drive to the very nice Queen Elizabeth park. It is convenient to Granville Island, the cruise terminals and other Vancouver highlights. Breakfasts were very good, Bernadette alternated sweet and savory entrees. Coffee and newspapers were available every morning. The shared bathroom may be a problem for... more
