Nice little rooms.....quaint little breakfast area......friendly staff.......excellent location......its best if you request a room with a private bathroom. The hotel also has a sauna which is nice and the restaurant is attached to the hotel itself and has a great menu and great staff.

Because of a last minute reservation, the only room available was with shared bathroom down the hall. Probably the cleanest of this kind that I have seen. The next day we moved to a room with private restroom. Served breakfast included bagel or toasts, orange slices and coffee, tea or hot cocoa. Reduced price at the Kingston Taphouse and Grille... I stayed there quite a long time ago, so hopefully it hasn't changed much. Price was fantastic in the off season. I came to Vancouver to check out a Video Game school before attending. Although I rented a car, overnight parking is expensive, but I was able to turn the car in across the street, and found that the location... More

The location and staff are superb. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable with two double beds and a seating area with two comfy chairs. Perfect for two old friends meeting for a visit and to do some sight seeing. The breakfast was more than enough for us and we loved the sweet little breakfast room.

A great find, quiet, very clean, inexpensive and you are right downtown Vancouver. My room was small, but had it's own bathroom, (some are shared or down the hall), room came with robes and slippers. The only disappointment, was the included breakfast (not like a Best Western), and was only toast or a bagel with orange juice and coffee or... More

Kingston bed and breakfast is a nice, cheap hotel and it's very easy to get to from the airport take the sky train to Vancouver city centre and it's 2 blocks away, there's a big shopping centre as well near the hotel,at the moment there is construction outside of the hotel which can be a downside specially if you're room is in... The walls are very thin and we could hear an "amorous " couple upstairs all night. The floors and the beds creak. The hotel is close to the metro, the cruise port and shopping areas. Breakfast is minimal toast and coffee, but good enough. First time sharing a bathroom with several other rooms turned out to be more stressful than... More

Overall comfortable room, even though it had old furniture . At breakfast the only options you have are between toast or bagel and coffee or hot tea. Then position is perfect : quiet and safe street in Downtown, very close to Main touristic attractions! Very nice staff!

My adult son and I were looking for an affordable downtown hotel for one night in Vancouver. The Kingston was perfect. We had two adjoining rooms and between us a private bathroom. The hotel has charm and retains some of its original character amidst a busy downtown street. We parked securely in the next building underground. We had bagels, coffee... More

First time staying at the Kingston. Check in, and check out were both friendly, fast and efficient. Our room was small and its an old hotel, but we found it to be clean and with no odor. The robes provided were a nice touch. We thought the communal bathroom would be an issue, however it was really not an inconvenience... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
