Just got back from Vancouver and we stayed at the Oceanside for a week. The location is perfect - one a quiet street one block from the corner of Denman and Davie so you're close to loads of shops and restaurants and there are several regular bus routes. Hotel was in great location. Very safe part of vancouver and quieter area. close to shops etc but still in walking distance of stanley park and Robson. This is not a fancy chain but a small privately owned establishment. Rooms are basic but large. We stayed at the Oceanside Hotel in August 2008 for a week. The hotel has an excellent location, close to restaurants on Denman and the walking distance to Stanley park and the beach. I needed an affordable suite in Vancouver and found the Oceanside. The room was not fancy but clean. The front desk staff, couldn't have been more helpful. Great location and great value. The free parking was a bonus. I would have loved to see a few room amenities such as coffee, paper towels, etc. more
